Levi My throat burned with the force of my scream. The walls rattled and my body trembled. I grasped Shayna in my arms while Dominic and Alex looked her over. Alex had a hand on her wounds, holding pressure. Both of them whispered in hushed tones, but I couldn't hear them. I didn't want to. I wanted to hear my mate. I needed to feel her heart beating strongly. Instead, it was slow. Barely there. Nearly nonexistent. "We need Diego if she has any chance," Dominic growled. He had torn part of the shirt he was wearing and wrapped it around the cut on her neck. My blood boiled as much as it froze in my veins. How could I feel so infuriated and so scared and cold at the same time? He tried to slit her throat. He tried to kill her. He may have succeeded...NO. I shook the thought from my head
