I will always be yours

Amaya was talking about shower, last night she couldn't sleep thinking about today's event,she will finally get her dream position at the company that her family founded, more like her mother. Her mother was one of the most smart, elegant, thoughtful and lovable person that she ever knew, Amaya wanted to be like her but her life changed when her mother got sick and her father brought that woman home,not only it accelerated her mother illness and her end, but she found out that her father had an affair with this woman before she was born, and so she found out that she had a sister six months older than her, her father used her mother's family connections and money to get his company out of bankruptcy, and that with the help of her mother. After her mother's death her life in that house became hell. Never ending complaining from her stepsister, the nagging and theatrics made her immune to feelings, luckily she was smart, was able to graduate early, start working and be successful, she was able to buy her own apartment in a nice area of the city, and now looking in the mirror she was content with herself. Today she will become one of the directors, although it came with more responsibilities, she was happy. "I like to be busy, keeps me occupied ". Not only she will be a director but her boyfriend will soon become fiance, she heard from one of the secretaries that they saw him in a shop that was famous for engagement and wedding rings. Ciprian was a nice guy, not that she love him but she had an affection for him, she once compared to a brother and sister love ,but she erased that thought because it was weird, plus it was convenient since they knew eachother ,and he knew her more than anybody else ,they will get along just fine, plus no time for dating if she were to be single. With that in mind she started dressing, the simple navy blue suit fit her perfectly, black shirt and black stilettos, simple makeup and she was ready. She took her bag,keys and the sandwiche that she will have later the black coffee she had was enough for now. Amaya got into her car,and she start driving to work,it was a 30 min drive ,since the company was in the town centre and she didn't wanted to buy an apartment here, way to much money just because they are central. when she arrived at the company she park the car at the underground company's car park. "Let's do this" was her first tought. "Nothing is going to ruining this day" - Good morning, Ms Amaya! -Good morning Nina, is everything ready? she asked the assistant, the assistant looked a bit awkward. - It's something wrong? -Miss, everyone is in the meeting room, and... - Oooo that's a first, usually everyone is late for morning meetings... - No Miss I want to tell you that... - No time ,I'm going there, today is a big day for me, and luckily everyone thinks that too since they are here already. And with that she start going towards the meeting room. "I don't think that she will like what is happening there." the assistant sight Amaya opened the door, everyone was in a celebratory mood, when they saw her they stopped, Ciprian was holding her stepsister hand looking happy. - What is happening here? Amaya asked - A ,Amaya you are here, just on time, I decided to name your sister Violet, the new director... - Wait ,what???? - Look, Amaya, don't be upset, but it's just that you are doing such a good job now that I don't see a reason for you to become a director, but your sister might learn to be more responsible... - Wait you lost me at the good job, what do you mean that Violet is becoming a director? - Yes ,that is what ,I'm saying, she is older than you and she should have that position, her father rambled. - So let me get this straight, you are naming Violet a director, just because she is older, and she needs to learn?! - Yes, me what seems to be your problem, Amaya? Violet asked mockingly - What is my problem, Amaya was angry and although all of this years until now she tried to be civil with them today everything came clashing, MY problem is that I worked hard for this job and I deserved it, should I remaind you that since you start you almost lost us some very important clients, that everyone after that worked hard to get them back, not only that but you don't really do anything other than boss everyone around and do nothing..... - Dad, do you see how she talks to me? - Amaya, that's enough, Violet will be a director and you will have to accept it, and be nice when the other directors come, don't make a scene, plus your sister is getting married, it will look good for the people.... - Wait,Amaya now remembered that they were holding hands when she entered, who is she getting married to...? The most unimaginable thing happened in front of her, Violet put her hands around Ciprian, and with a mocking smile, she told Amaya - He just proposed to me, we are getting married, Violet smiled ,enjoying the shocked face of her. Amaya just looked at Ciprian, who was avoiding her gaze. - It's true?Amaya was looking at him angrily.Since when, were you cheating on me all of this time?Now she was angry - Yes, we were together behind your back all of this years, and now he decided that he no longer want to be with you, Violet responded. - I wasn't talking to you, your name is not Ciprian....so please, Amaya said turning her gaze back to Ciprian, answer! - You... Violet tried to retort but Ciprian stopped her - Yes, I started to be with your sister in the last three years, he said, but you can't blame me, Ciprian started to look at Amaya. - Huh...was all that Amaya could say - Yes, we were together since high school, and we barely kissed, or spent time together...you were always busy with school and projects, and then when you start working I was seeing you less and less, that is why I become closer with your sister, Ciprian was starting at her looking a bit angry. "Wait" Amaya was thinking "he cheated on me and he is angry, and why I'm not upset, but still if he did feel that way why he didn't tell me and break up with me ". Everyone was looking at her, waiting for her to start screaming, but for the first time Amaya realised that it won't matter how much she will work, in this family no one cares, and for now on she decided that she won't work herself that much. - You know what, I don't really care that you are with my stepsister, but I thought that you were man enough to break up first with me, before announcing the engagement, plus she really like to take other people stuff ,... - What do you mean? Violet asked with a crying face, trying to hide her annoyance, because she thought that Amaya would react differently. - You know what I mean, and you can drop the act.Father since you decided that ,I'm not to be a director, I'm resigning... - What? her father looked shocked -That it's exactly what I will be doing, and not only that I'm going to give you the 20% shares that I inherited from my mother, I'm sure that this company won't have a bright future.
