After the incident at the party, I had waited for the Alpha's retaliation. Since this wasn’t the first time I had made an offensive move against him, I already expected a summons from the council. Chris was also ready to step in if that ever happened.
But he didn’t. Days passed in quietness and peace.
Even if he sued me for it, I was well prepared. But since he let it slide, I couldn’t be more relieved.
