I wake up on John again. Second morning in a row, and though it’s annoying, I decide to just let it go this time. It’s not like he’s giving me some smug, self-satisfied look whenever I wake up like that, and I don’t think he does it to prove some point about how snuggly we should be as mates. I believe him that my nightmares get to be unbearable for him too, and though I hate that, I’m not going to make it worse by fighting with him again. It’s just a fact of my life, and hopefully, having my own place to sleep will be better for us both. He won’t have to lie there and listen to me struggling from a nearby room, and I won’t have to wake up like this anymore.
