I didn’t sleep all that well last night, though that’s not something that I’ll ever admit to Marissa. I could tell even as I was making my empty promises to leave her be all night while she was getting ready for bed, getting ready to sleep in my bed – the result of our first real argument since bringing her home to my apartment, which I finally won once she conceded that it was just for a night – that she already knew I wasn’t planning to keep that promise. She even as much as admitted that the way her nightmares affect me is a major factor in her wanting to put more distance between us, and that’s the argument I haven’t won yet. I don’t think that distance is going to fix the issue. I think the only cure for it is for her to finally talk to me and tell me what goes on in that head of h
