TINA BARRETT I had felt like my heart had ripped from my chest ever since Charles had given me the terrible news. Holly was dead. She was gone, and I couldn’t even give her a proper goodbye. A hunter is burnt on a funeral pyre. That way, they don’t usually end up stuck here as a spirit. Of course, there have been odd cases where a hunter’s ghost has managed to hold on. But generally what’s burnt stays gone. I needed to give Holly a proper hunter’s funeral. I needed to know that my daughter’s spirit was in heaven where it belonged and not trapped here.
