LIKE AN ICE FISH!

"How many times have I asked you to stop being silly!” My mom scolded me.

I could see how exhausted she was because of how many complaints my dad must have fed her.

While she kept reprimanding me, I got my hair dried with the hair dryer.

My dad was sitting on the couch, glaring at me while I dried my hair like I wasn't bothered about their complaints.

"It's not like I intentionally did it!” I had to defend myself with the actual truth but no matter how much I try to explain it to them,they will never believe it.

I'm already known as someone who has the habit of playing under the rain.

Ugh! it sucks when they always keep on scolding me for the same particular thing.

Can't I just relive my childhood memories now that I'm matured?

it's not like playing in the rain is a sin.

They are always nagging.

"Now that she is matured,she won't listen to our instructions!” I heard my dad grumpily snap.

Gosh! This man is really funny.

I really want to laugh but I can't. if I dare to do it,my dad will be upset.

I can't take the risk.

"Mommy,do not get a headache because of me.” I concernedly advised my mom because I can see how exhausted she is just by trying to reason with me.

She went and sat down, giving out a heavy sigh.

I decided to change the awkwardness of the ambience of the house by bringing up a reasonable topic. "Daddy,why not buy a new car?” I suggested but I saw him eye me ignorantly.

I secretly chuckled because I knew he was troubled by me.

When I looked up, I saw my elder brother enter the house.

Wow! he is becoming more handsome each passing day.

When I asked my Mom about him,she said he had gone on a business trip and now, he's back.

He was also surprised to see me. it has been long we last saw each other.

"Look at the naughty girl!” That's the weirdest usual name he calls me and it made me laugh.

He approached me and I turned off the hair dryer to hug him.

"Long time.....”

"No see” he completed my sentence. and then,he began to study me suspiciously. "The rain just stopped. Why do I feel like you were under the rain?” he guessed it right.

I can't believe he still has such a thing in his mind to say to me.

Everybody still remembers how silly I used to be when I was little.

I gestured him to keep quiet because I didn't want my parents to start rebuking me again.

"They already gave me a scolding” I whispered to him and he laughed.

His arrival seems to have brightened the faces of my parents.

"How was the journey?" My mom asked him.

"It was really stressful but it was worth it. now, I'm fully equipped. all I just have to do is,open a business center” my brother sounded really excited.

I was happy for him. we were all happy.

His little announcement has brought a broad smile on the faces of my parents.

I was the one broadly grinning the most like an ice fish.

Hahaha!

"That means, I don't have to bother buying hairs from ordinary stores” I said out of excitement since his business is the type that he orders products from overseas and sells them around our country.

Sadly,he shot a glare at me. "Don't be silly, Evie! I don't deal with those kind of products!” he snapped at me.

I eyed him.

He's a very troublesome guy. But he's very handsome. He looks just like my Mom and I look like my dad.

My dad is not ugly either but I'm more good looking when you compare me with him.

I'm a pretty girl.

He's strict and obstinate but I don't exhibit such characters.

There's this belief that Mothers and sons are alike while fathers and daughters are alike. I believe in it.
