In the driver’s seat, Xavier looked over at Billy. “We’re gonna be sitting here in traffic for a while.” He shifted in his seat. “Pass me the water bottle, please?” Billy reached down between his feet, where junk was piling up, and found the plastic bottle. He was sick of being in this car, but now wasn’t the time to start whining. They’d hit their first serious traffic jam in a long time, and he knew that Xavier was just as tired as he was or maybe more.
