“I hate termites!” Ximena yelled, flicking the tiny mechanical body off the ship’s table and across the break room. It bounced off Knox’s arm and clinked on the floor. He picked it up and placed it on the table next to Alex, in the pile of dead termite bodies. The ladybug sat pristinely off to the side, all her modifications ready. Alex riffled through the parts with tweezers, lifted a piece up to the magnification projection. The tweezers, and their captive, grew ten times in size. “Here’s the part you need,” Alex said, handing the tweezers and contents over to Ximena. She reached for them without looking his way, her eyes fixed on her newest victim. Knox kept walking down the hallway to the cargo bay.
