Teacher pushed his chair back to stand. Lysander was there, offering his hand to help steady the man, a place where Ophelia would have normally stood. A few ambitious teens shot him nasty looks, but Teacher hadn’t corrected Lysander or requested someone else. So he stayed. Teacher held up his hands for silence, and a hush descended over the cafeteria. That’s right, they now had a cafeteria. Teens were assigned to prepare the meals in the well-stocked kitchen. Then everyone lined up at the bar, and food was placed on plates, real plates. As each person was served, they left the line to sit down at the tables that lined the spacious room. “Within a few days, IAS will attack,” Teacher said. That started a buzz of conversation, and Teacher folded his hands and waited. “But we are prepared.
