Field trip

“Bus number 12!”

I smiled when we heard where is our bus number, everyone is excited in the field trip.Our first destination is ATF camp second is the presidential cars after that last but not least the enchanted kingdom then heading to our camp.

Flora look at me.“Be my body Avina,it would be nice to have you in my tent.”

“Okay.”

May grabbed my wrist.“No,Avina will joined to our tent.”

This is one day trip I need to get up earlier to prepare all my needed before heading to my field trip,we need all to attend this because of my school obligation.

“You little monkey.Stop before you break my arm.” But she just held my hand and bounced some more.

When we got the letter in the post, Alyssa was ecstatic. She had already decided that all ourproblems were solved, gone forever. The big hitch in her brilliant plan was me. I didn’t think I was a particularly disobedient girl, but this was where I drew the line.

“We can both stayed with the tent don't worry to much.”I said then smiled demurely.

Naglakad kami papunta sa number ng bus namin katabi ko nuon si Flora,she is one of the richest girl in our class, intelligent, beautiful,famous thousand of followers online,her skin is so smooth and fair.

May face me when I reached out seat second to the left side of the bus our teacher seat infront of the seat.

“Flora saan ka uupo?”

She pointed the seat beside the window.“You can seat beside the window and I will seat next to you.”

I place first my backpack in the compartment above us before going to my seat, I admitted this is not the first time that I go to the trip.

“Avina tabi na lang tayo.”biglang sabi ni May ng makasakay ito ng bus habang naghahanap naman ang ibang estudyante ng ma-uupuan nila.

Sinaway naman ni Flora si May sa pamamagitan ng pagpalo sa kamay niya.“Hindi katabi ko siya humanap ka na lang ng katabi mo.”

“Avina tabi tayo lagi na lang si Flora ang katabi mo,paano naman ako?”may pagtatampo anang ni May sa akin.

Hilaw na ngumiti ako sa kanila at sa mga ibang klaseng kasama namin sa bus,ganito siguro ang pakiramdam ng lagi kang pinag-aagawan sa magkaibigan.

Tinawanan naman ako ni Eumz.“Kung pag-agawan niyo si Avina para siyang isang napaka-guwapong lalaki na nakilala niyo.”

“Men's are my vitamins so shut the f**k up, Eumz!”May shouted loudly and faced her off.

“Hey!Mrs.Acosta show your manners and right conduct!.”Mr. De Guzman yield to May, sandaling natigilan kaming lahat ng estudyante ng biglang magsalita ito.“Nakalimutan mo bang nandito din ang mga teacher niyo. Ang mga kabataan na nga naman ngayon wala ng galang na kung magsalita.”

He groaned.“Manahimik ka na nga ang ingay-ingay mo dapat hindi ka na sumama!”

“Ikaw nga dapat iyon. Sorry Sir hindi na po mauulit.”nahihiyang saad ni May na bahagyang iniyuko ang ulo niya.

Pinandilatan ako niya.“Tumahimik ka na Eumz, kayo na lang ni May ang mag-tabi para hindi kayo nag-aaway lagi.”

“Lahat ng love team ng school natin dapat pag-tabihin para mas maging tahimik sila.”suhestiyon pa ni Flora sa usapan na lumuhod pa sa upuan niya sabay ipinatong ang dalawang kamay sa headrest ng upuan.“Sino ang agree sa akin?May libreng gallon of ice cream pagkabalik natin.”

“Please agree to Avina plan since she is the top one in our class,please!.”Flora said then raised her hand in the air.

Pinigilan ko na ito nagbibiro lang naman ako ng sabihin ang bagay na iyon sa kanila,baka mapagalitan pa ako sa pinaggagawa namin.

I gave a half smiled.“Huwag niyo ng seryosohin ang sinabi ni Flora nagbibiro lang siya. Tumigil ka na Flora baka mapagalitan pa tayo!.”

“Fine I take Avina suggestion it's good to find there perfect match, I will choose your partner.”Our teacher in biology said then looked at the student inside the bus.

Humalukipkip si Eumz.“Where is the red carpet? Wifi and charger in here?”

“Why are so demanding Mr. Gragas?Could you please seat down and mind your own bussiness!.”I said then gritted my teeth while look at him so angrily.

Bumalik na ako sa upuan katabi ni Flora ganun din ito,mabuti hindi ako nadmay sa pagpartner-partner na iyon. Tahimik na isinandal ko ang ulo sa bintana ng bus habang tinitignan ang mga sasakyan at ang labas.

“Magandang umaga sa lahat,ako si Maricar ang magiging tour guide niyo ngayon kaya sabay-sabay tayong manalangin para sa safe trip natin.”ang anunsiyo ng magiging tour guide namin sa trip na ito,bawat bus merong iba't-ibang tour guide.

It's always regular to the student like us,we pray all together while the bus is starting to move on the way to our first destination.Our tour said we can sleep until the bus stop and go to the destination,it's a already five thirty o'clock in the morning it still dark outside and waiting to the sun goes up.

Flora offered me her french fries.“Avina have some I'm sure you didn't eat anything before coming here. ”

She know about me, our parent are both architect and bussiness man in a big company called Venezuela group. Her family group is Villanueva group of engineer our father are both bussiness minded, Dad always spend his time in the office day and night.

“Thanks but no...Yaya prepared for me a food.”I managed to added then smiled at her.

I was the only child, Avina laureen Valenzuela is the name they given to me.Making my parents proud and happy is the way to say thank you and I love them.

She sighed.“Yung yaya mo ba talaga ang nag-prepared o ikaw mismo?Halatang maaga ka pa gumising para maghanda ng gamit mo.”

“Alam mong ayokong nakakaabala sa iba kahit nuon pa man hindi ba?”ang anang ko sa mahinang pananalita dahil may ibang estudyante na natutulog sa ngayon.

It's my family money that I need to work  on my own and save my own, buy the things that I used my own money not them. I was blessed to have a parent like them even though sometimes,I'm stubborn and disobey there order on me especially Mom.

She get the book inside if her backpack.“Read this if you have time or even now, this is the book I brought the bookstore yesterday. ”

Nagtataka man ako ay kinuha ko iyon dahil alam kong gusto niya na mabasa iyon, kaagad na pinasadahan ko ng tingin ang librong ito interesting ang tittle nito I don't know why? The author automatically captured my thoughts I don't know maybe it's just a beautiful book cover then.

I faced her.“You know the author of this book is famous nationwide of this bestselling book story.I'm the one always on his book signing events seeing him in the internet.”

“Who is the author of this book anyway?”I can't wait to asked.

Her cheek blush.“It's Mateo Alexus Ortega take the first of the all writer worldwide,the king of the gift platform has own publishing company. Famous author ten million followers on all his social media accounts.”

Ipinakita pa niya ang larawan ng lalaking iyon sa akin,he is handsome,siya ang ama ng dalawang bata na si Benedict at Joyce. I think I see him somewhere I can't remember when,maybe on Dad bussiness party either. Naging boss ko ang sikat na sikat na author na ito?Si Ma'amJulyza inaamin ko na naiingit ako sa pagmamahalan nila madami man sibat ang humarang sa kanila ay ang tatag nila,mabait at sobrang hands-on si Sir Mateo.

“Guwapo pala kaya gustong-gusto mo?”I continue then staring at her.“I know him I see his face in internet and in Dad parties he is the owner of big company worldwide.”

“I don't know he want his life private to everyone, you know how many course he get?”

“How many?”

“He is lawyer, top notcher in his batch,construction worker, Delivery man, writer, and so many works.”I replied to her while gazing at the same on her.

In age fifteenth I know him, laman ng newspaper and social networks ang lahat ng ginagawa nito.Lahat ng mata nasa kaniya lagi dahil  sa kasipagan nito sa trabaho, hindi ko alam kung may asawa na nga ito.

She was confused.“What a handsome man?Lahat ng mga kababaihan lagi siya ang iniidolo dahil sa galing nito.”

“Babasahin ko ang librong ito mukhang interesting ang kuwento nito kaya pahiram muna.”ang paalam ko sabay ngumiti sa kaniya at ibinalik sa libro.

She nod.“Oo sige ibalik mo na lang pagkatapos mo sa kuwento.”

Kinuha ko ang headphones at inilagay iyon sa tenga bago binuksan ang librong ipinahiram ni Flora sa akin, at duon na lang itinuon ang atensyon ko habang umuusad ang sasakyan namin.

“Tandaan niyo ang katabi niyo ay ang body niyo ibig sabihin hindi kayo puwedeng maghiwalay na dalawa.”

Ibinababa ko ang librong ipinahiram ni Flora sa akin sa ibabaw ng aking hita bago ini-angat ang paningin sa tour guide namin, she was tell the background information about the ATF camp all the cannon during spanish war, japanese war, and so many armed forces things.

I nodded then grabbed some chips. “Flora where's your older brother? ”

“He is not planning to come in the field trip,he just want to race with his cars.”she replied then rolled her eyes on me. “You know him from the first time right? He dislike field trip because its for the kid not for the grow up.” 

Flora is the friend that so close on me, I always here to support her on her social media and fashion line. She is kind but bitchy sometimes when it comes to the people she hate the most, priviledge girl anything she desire her parents buy  for her.

I gave a tight smiled. “He has a point, you know I’m here to have unwind and meditations before going to the work.”

“You are rich Avina you don’t need to work, just wait for your parents to give there company.”kontra pa niya sabay pagpapagalaw ng kamay sa hangin. “You are intelligent,Gorgeous,good in singing,dancing,drawing,journal,and all the things.”

Madaling sabihin ang salitang Mayaman ang hindi nila alam ay madaming dapat gawin para panatilihing ganun iyon,halos mawalan na nga ng oras ang sarili kong pamilya sa akin ng dahil sa company. I know they do that because they want to gave a stable life and never suffered to anything but this is not I want…all I want is there time, I don’t care if we are poor. Just them is enough to me.

I shook my head. “No I’m not I grow different, steady, slow, wild. My parents is enough Flora.”

“Do you want to do I won’t judge just take care of yourself.” she finished continue the get her make-up kit and put some of her blush on.

We arrived on the first destination at seven o’clock in the morning, our school is Santa Monica Diosdado high school this the second best school in manila that why my parents choose me to be here. Getting higher grade, certificate, trophy in every contest, school model, goddess that’s who I am, perfect because of the publicity. Kasabay ng pagdami ng nakikipagkaibigan sa akin ganun ang mga estudyante na ayaw sa akin, kaakibat ng kasikatan ang ganitong bagay. They will make article say they want so say just to lift their self up, to have spotlight, attention, mocking you,whining you even it’s hurt you need to be silent.

“Beautiful,naïve,peige,slow witted,innocent,bitchy,silent,always have a smile.”she described before turning her gaze while scanning me from head to bottom of my body.

“Really?”

I grin. “Ourselves is our rivalry, not the people.”

Naglagay ako ng red lipstick to look mature and elegant while wearing denim jeans jacket then navy ruffians off shoulder inside denim pants and white shoes. Inaayos ko muna ang mga gamit namin bago isa-isa bumababasa bus dahil kailangan nilang gumamit ng banyo pag-kababa ng bus kung saan nanduon ang ilang bus at estudyante na bumababa sa sasakyan nila todo paalala naman ng mga tour guide na huwag lumayo sa kasama nila.

“Wow! Avina ikaw ba iyan?”

“Ang ganda mo naman!”

Napangiti na lang ako sa sinabi ni Eumz at Lendsey sa akin hilig talaga akong buskahin ng mga ito iniwanan ko ang denim jacket at kinuha ang sunglasses para proteksiyon sa araw,palabas na ang mga ito banda sa dulo kasi ito nakaupo kasama ang mga ito. May kaunting semenar pagkatapos nuon ay dumaretso na din sa loob nakita ko ang iba’t-ibang mga larawan,hindi ko napigilan na kunan iyon gamit ang camera na dala pagkatapos nuon ay dumarestso kami sa presidential cars sobrang ganda nuon dahil makikita mo kung gaano kahalaga ang mga iyon sa kasaysayan ng bansa namin.

Our tour guide stood up.“You can eat your lunch while heading to enchanted kingdom.”

“Avina what did you get for lunch?”

Kinuha ko ang backpack at kinuha ang disposable lunch box. “Cold tuna sandwiches, apple, bottle of water and apple juice.”

“Iyan lang ang dala mo?”

“This all I need I will buy some inside the enchanted king dom.”I replied then bite an tuna sandwiches that I made I offered this to her.

Dinala ko lang naman ang mga kailangan sa field trip dahil hindi naman masyadong kailangan ang ilan sa mga iyon kaya hindi ko na dinala pa, matapos kumain ay huminto ang bus sa huling stop nito. Kaagad na lumabas kami dala ang ticket nakapalaki nuon, we take photo again when we go outside before going inside the enchanted kingdom.

Eumz approached me.“Hindi ka ba napapagod na sinusundan ka ng dalawang iyan?”

Naupo ako sa isang bench duon sa tapat ng isang ride. “Where are they?”

“Miss mukhang nalaglag mo yata ito.”unfamiliar tone of voice said. I turned my gaze to the student from the other school.

He is wearing dark green statement t-shirt then black pants,white snickers while looking at me.His serious eyes was staring at me like is there dust or anything on my face, he is not a boy but man.

“Are you planning stare at me?I will sue you for that.”He smirked said then his perfect complete teeth showed up on me.

I get the denim jacket I didn’t notice that I lost it.“No. I’m not staring at you it’s just looking at you wondering if you are a criminals. But thank you for giving my jacket back.”

“Criminal?Don’t get me wrong miss but I’m a student not a criminal.”kontra pa nito na humalukipkip sa harap ko.

Pinaikot ko ang paningin sa kaniya.“Malay mo nagpapanggap ka lang na isang estudyante tapos magnanakaw ka pala, hindi na uso ang pakana mo ngayon mister.”

“Ang lawak din ng imahinasyon mo miss.”ang pakli pa niya sabay umiling-iling nito sa akin na tinitignan lang siya malay mo ganun siya.

Hilaw na ngumiti ako sabay kinuha ang ID nito at kinuhanan iyon ng  picture. “Dapat hindi ka takot na kunin ko ito .”

Binitawan ako niya sabay tinignan ang ID nito, we are same school. Bakit ba hindi ko kaagad iyon nakita nuong una first year college habang ako ay First year high school  iba-iba kasi ang mga kulay ng lace sa amin. Mag-kaiba din ang building at place of school.

Isinuot ko ang denim jacket na iyon.“Ililibre kita ng kahit anong gusto mo basta yung kaya ko mahalaga sa akin ang jacket na ito.”

“Really?”

Tumango ako. “Kaya halika ka na.”

Regalo ito ni yaya sa akin bago siya umalis at umuwi na sa pamilya niya, siya ang nagpalaki sa akin parang ina ko na si yaya mula ng apat na taon ako sa kaniya ko naramdaman ang pagmamahal na hindi ko inakala na mararamdaman ko nuong una ito na lang ang natitirang remembrance niya sa akin.
