CHAPTER 1: THE MAN WHO CHANGED EVERYTHING
Aurelia Stone never planned to fall in love with someone like Daniel Hart. But she did. And when she did, everything in her life started to change shape. It happened during London Fashion Week. She was just another face on the runway list that day, unknown, barely noticed, walking in borrowed confidence, hopes, and a dream until she saw him. Daniel Hart. He sat in the front row, still, like the room had been built around him. People around him were already reacting before he even moved. There were whispers, glances, and subtle shifts in attention that never fully reached him because he didn’t seem to care. Then Aurelia’s name was called. She stepped onto the runway. The lights were too bright to focus on anything properly, but somehow her eyes still found him again. Same seat.Quiet.Still watching. Not smiling or reacting to anything going on. Just there, like he already knew how the moment would end. Backstage, the energy changed the moment Aurelia returned. A few models were still talking about the front row. “That’s Hart Group… Did you see Daniel Hart in the front row?” Chloe said. “I’m still shocked he was even here.” “Exactly,” Mel replied. “He doesn’t usually show up for shows like this. That’s why everyone was staring.” “I saw it in the news,” Chloe continued. “He’s now part of the Cole Industry circle.” Maya frowned subtly. “Which Cole Industry?” “You mean The Cole Industry?” Mel said. “The one everyone calls the godfather of the modelling world?” “Yeah,” Chloe added. “The man nobody knows. No real name, no face. He stays completely hidden, but he controls almost everything in this industry.” “And Daniel Hart is under him now?” Maya asked. “I still can’t believe it,” Mel admitted. “For the Cole Industry to endorse the Hart Group, it means Daniel Hart’s word is law in the London modelling industry.” “Better believe it, dear,” Chloe said. “Honestly, as models, it would be such a blessing to have someone like that backing you in this industry. Like a sponsor or a godfather. This industry isn’t nice to us at all.” Aurelia adjusted her heels, pretending not to listen, but the name stuck. Hart Group.Cole industry… She quietly repeated the names under her breath, trying to connect what they were saying, but nothing clicked. Before she could think more, someone called her name again. “Aurelia… the director wants you.” She turned immediately. “What for?” she asked in shock. There was no answer. Just a hand gesturing toward the hallway. The corridor was quiet. No music. No voices. Just the sound of her steps slowed as she reached the end. And then she saw him again. Daniel Hart. This time, closer. He was looking at her like she had already been part of his attention longer than she knew. “You were holding back,” he said. Aurelia blinked once. “I wasn’t.” “You were,” Daniel replied calmly. “I noticed it.” She crossed her arms lightly. “And you’re always this sure about strangers?” “I don’t deal with uncertainty,” he said with a straight face. That should have sounded arrogant. But it didn’t. It sounded like certainty itself. Later that night, London felt louder than usual. Not because anything had changed. But because everything in her mind had. Her phone rang. Clara’s name flashed first. “Aurelia, where are you?” Clara asked. “I’m home,” Aurelia responded “We saw clips from the show online,” Sophia added somewhere in the background. “You didn’t tell us you were walking today.” “It wasn’t planned.” She replied “Hmmm, if you say so,” Clara teased. “You looked good anyway, but people are talking about that show.” Aurelia frowned faintly. “Talking about what?” “Nothing specific. Just… don’t get carried away in that world, okay?” “I won’t,” Aurelia sighed. “Okay, I’m officially jealous now,” Sophia laughed. “Don’t forget us when you become rich and famous.” “I won’t.” Laughter followed before the call finally ended. Shortly after, a loud voice came from the kitchen. “Aurelia!” Her mother entered the room, and she wasn’t calm. “You went to that show again after everything we said?” Margaret Stone snapped. “We told you to focus on your studies and something more productive, not this fashion world!” “Mum, it’s my choice.” Replied Aurelia “Your choice?” Margaret repeated sharply. “Do you know how unstable that industry is? One day they see you, the next day they forget you!” Her father appeared at the doorway now, holding a magazine in his hands. “Your education is what matters,” Richard Stone said. “Not chasing something that doesn’t guarantee you stability.” “I can do both,” Aurelia replied calmly, not even looking up, like a child being scolded. “No, you can’t. Not properly,” Margaret said while shaking her head. Aurelia didn’t answer. The room fell silent soon after, and eventually her parents left. Later that night, her phone rang again. An unknown number. She hesitated before answering. “Hello?” There was a pause. Then a calm voice spoke. “That took you long enough…” Daniel sighed softly. “You disappeared quickly.” Aurelia straightened slightly, unsure who it was at first. “Who is this?” “It’s Daniel Hart.” The moment she recognized the voice, she sat up properly. “Oh… did I need to stay longer?” she asked carefully. “No. You were fine,” he replied. “I just wanted to be sure you got home safely.” “That’s… unnecessary, sir.” She replied carefully “Not to me,” Daniel responded Aurelia paused. “Why?” Asked Aurelia “Because I notice details other people don’t.” Says Daniel The silence that followed stayed between them for a moment before the call ended. Aurelia didn’t move afterward. She simply stood there with her phone still in her hand. Then it rang again. A notification appeared on her screen. New sponsorship record created: Aurelia Stone. Her brows raised as she opened it. One line was underneath: Approved by: Daniel Hart. Her phone lit up again almost immediately with another unknown message. We should meet properly this time… Daniel. And this time…She didn’t answer immediately.
