THE OBLIGATIONN

ALESSIA’S POV “You may now kiss the bride” The priest says as he concludes the wedding. I stand there idle, not moving an inch of my body, waiting to wake up from this nightmare, in complete disbelief that this is happening right now. “Try to at least look like your happy”, Liam sternly says gripping me by the waist as he slowly plants a kiss on my lips resulting in the crowded room of guest chanting loudly. I could throw up, all of this just…feels so wrong. “If you enjoy having hands, I suggest you let go of my waist” I say giving him a deadly glare before turning to the crowd, that’s when my current reality hits, I have just married the one man I despise in this world…LIAM ANDERSON. Growing up I imagined my wedding would be different, I thought I would get married to the love of my life…my soulmate, and we would have a honeymoon somewhere in Geneva, instead I’m here marrying a man that I cannot stand, a man not worth my love and affection. As the night continues, I take in my surroundings and everything around me feels completely abnormal like, who even marries a guy that she doesn’t love? Well that would be me. “Hey babe, I would like for you to meet someone” Liam says snapping me back into reality as he wraps his arms around my waist making my body shiver in discomfort. “I’ve heard so much about you, it’s great to finally meet you Liam has always had great taste in beautiful women, my names Jonas Collins “he says extending his arm out giving me a smile with so much sincerity. Something I haven’t seen in a while. “Well, I can’t argue with that” I say embracing his hand. “When Liam told me he was getting married I was shocked that Canada’s most wanted bachelor decided to stick with only one woman, the irony of life right?” Jonas slightly chuckles. “Well, you know when you find the perfect one you just have to put the ring on it” Liam says gripping onto my waist tighter and placing a wet kiss on my cheek. “That’s right my man, well, you love birds enjoy the wedding I have more important issues to attend to” Jonas says averting his attention to the woman at the bar, leaving me alone with my darling husband. “Try smiling a bit more this b***h look doesn’t suit you” Liam says before walking past me causing me to roll my eyes in annoyance. “HEY, EVERYONE I JUST WANT TO DO A SPEECH QUICKLY” Rodriguez my father says catching the attention of the whole room. Right, my father Rodriguez Blanco, some would say their father is the first man they fell in love with…well that wasn’t the case for me. “Today is a really special day because my beautiful daughter Alessia has married the love of her life and nothing makes me feel…prouder as a father,” My father says wiping away an imaginable tear from his eye causing me to roll my eyes in disgust. “So…to LIAM AND ALESSIA” he says raising his glass as the crowded room full of guest uproars in joy. THE NIGHT OF THE WEDDING “Are you going to spend the whole night standing there watching me like a creep” I say attempting unzipping my wedding dress letting the cold air of the room brush against my skin. “Well, what can I say I love to admire the beautiful view Infront of me” Liam says walking into the room. “That’s the nicest thing you have ever said to me” I say. “Don’t flatter yourself darling I’m talking about the outside view” Liam says. “Whatever!” I say continuing to attempt to unzip my dress. “Turn around” Liam abruptly says. “Excuse me!” I say raising my eyebrow. “Don’t flatter yourself sweetheart, I don’t allow pervs touch me” I say. “Do you want the dress off or not!” Liam says, as I stare at him for what felt like eternity finally deciding to turn around. “You know princess, you should learn to respect me more, besides I am now your husband” Liam says finally unzipping my dress as I sigh in relief. “You can drop the caring husband act now; nobody is around to monitor our behaviour” I say walking into the bathroom. As I walk back into the bedroom to my surprise Liam is still standing there, slowly staring up and down my body making me suddenly feel a sudden feeling of self- consciousness in my little white robe. Why is he staring at me like that? More importantly why is he still in my room? allowing my thoughts to take over. Finally finding my voice “Why are y-“before I could finish my sentence I felt my body pressed against the wall, trapped in between Liam’s masculine hands with nowhere to escape. “What…are…you…doing”, I say trembling between every word I utter, allowing my brain to fully process what is potentially about to happen…IS LIAM…THE LIAM ANDERSON ABOUT TO KISS ME? And before I could process anything further, I felt softest lips I have ever connect with mine…not like I haven’t kissed anyone before but this felt…different. I have spent do much time hating this man that I have never imagined the possibility of this ever happening…well he is my husband now, so this was bound to happen right? “Your lips are so soft princess” Liam says fully intoxicated with the kiss devouring every moment, that’s when I decide to fully allow my body take over. THE NEXT MORNING Everything about the previous night felt like a blur, lifting my body from the comfort of my bed I turn to my side and that’s when the realization finally hits me when I see a lifeless body laying besides me…I SLEPT WITH LIAM LAST NIGHT.
