Elena’s POV: The moment the meeting ended, I felt the weight of a thousand eyes on me. Everywhere I turned, someone was either whispering, bowing, or forcing a smile in my direction. I wanted to disappear immediately, to slip away into the shadows where no one would find me, but Rachael had other plans. She grabbed my arm the moment I stepped out of the pack hall, her excitement practically radiating off her. "Elena, we have to start planning immediately. The dress, the ceremony, the food—oh Goddess, there's so much to do!" I ignored her and walked back home as fast as I could. For the next few days, I was pulled from one meeting to another. Everywhere I went, I was met with endless questions. "Elena, what color should the decorations be?" "Elena, have you decided on a dress design?"
