Marco’s POV
Monday started off like absolute s**t.
First, Trinity woke up vomiting, which meant no camp for her. My mom still works part-time, so I had to scramble for a backup plan. I called Melody, who thankfully agreed to watch her. After dropping off the other kids, I barely had time to sip my coffee before my phone vibrated with a text.
A number I didn’t recognize.
I opened the message and nearly choked.
Cheryl: Guess what? I’m having twins!
Attached were ultrasound photos.
My heart stopped. What the f**k? Did I sleep with this woman? No. No way. I would have remembered that. Right? My mind raced, trying to place her, trying to recall any drunken mistake, but nothing came up. This had to be a joke.
I shook my head, tossing my phone onto the passenger seat. Not today.
