Chapter-5 Crescent

Chapter-5 Crescent Whisper rubbed Ace's back softly, as she left the grass in the garden tickle her legs. The giant black cat licked her cheek expressing his fondness. His fur shined in the sunlight and this was the first time Whisper was noticing it. She liked sitting in their garden, it was quite refreshing. She used to be here all the time, when she was little. She and Lucien, who was also her best friend for a long time. Most of their childhood memories were centered around each other, something that amused her now. She wondered how Lucien, changed so much. There was a time he was an innocent, child with sun shining in his eyes. The new him, was the king of Ebony Woods, and his blue eye shad lost the sunshine only to be replaced by a dark ocean. The clattering of a horse's hoof was audible in the distance, that pulled her out of her memories. A carriage was coming towards her from the distance, so she stood up to get a clearer view, followed by Ace who stood in front of her, in a protective way. Soon it pulled right in front of her, that was when he noticed the royal symbol of Crescent moon painted on it. The carriage was spick and span and the fabric that covered the cart up was the finest velvet. The moment Ace sensed uneasiness in his owner's behavior; he roared at the carriage. ‘We're okay, Ace.' Whisper commanded, and the panther backed a few steps standing in front of her. The beast looked at the carriage with obvious anger in his yellow eyes. ‘Just like you.' The familiar voice rang in her ear and she almost groaned. But the annoyance was replaced with surprise when she realized that she was not at the castle. What was, Lucien doing at her doorstep? He was supposed to be at his palace, in the royal chamber with his wives. 'Fierce, isn't he.' He smirked making Ace snarl at the Alpha. Lucien was still dressed in the royal clothing. A pair of black slacks hugged his legs, with a shirt that had a deep cowl neck that showed off his cleavage, underneath a black coat that reached his ankles. He smirked at Whisper as a sign of greeting. The castle wasn't his place until the Omega that had infatuated him, lived in there. Everything had seemed to lose their appeal in Whisper's absence. ‘What are you doing here?' She questioned sitting back down on her knees, while rubbing under the black cat's chin to relax him. Whisper recalled how, she and Lucien used to be together all the time. They were best friends as kids. He used to be a nice boy, but youth had done magic on the sweet boy and made him a ruthless man. Though Whisper, still didn't blame Lucien. He was very young when King Lucifer was stabbed. They were there; they had seen it with their own eyes. The old rogue stabbed Lucifer, the other betas killed the rogue on the spot, but the king was gone. The responsibility and maturity had changed Lucien. What could be more painful for a child than seeing his father being stabbed right in front of his helpless eyes? He was immediately obliged to have the throne, and then he found his mate when he was 20 and another one 2 years later, but they were enforced on him. They weren't his choice. ‘I thought I'd visit you. I missed you a lot. The palace seemed so dull without you. No expensive wine is even half as toxic as you. No emerald has the shine your eyes have. If the silk sheets back there give me even half of the peace that you give me, they'd be the most comfortable place on earth.' Lucien smiled, making her chuckle smugly at him. Lucien treated her the way he is supposed to treat his wives. This only reminded her that she was the dagger that had accidentally cut off all the connections he had with his wives. Whisper knew she was not supposed to blame herself, but she couldn't help it, that was all she could think about. She had no idea, how many nights Raina and Lucien have spent separately, just because of her. She had no idea how many tears Titania had cried for Lucien, all because of her. Unintentionally, but she had became a home destroyer. ‘Lucien, I want to tell you something.' She sighed. She always tried to make Lucien understand that she was not interested, but seeing the situation, she was sure she has had no success. 'Sit down.' She offered tapping a spot beside her. The moment he took a step closer to Whisper, Ace roared with fury. ‘Steady, Ace.' She screamed with command making Ace whimper and back off. ‘See this turns me on.' Lucien pointed at the angry creature. Whisper looked at Ace trying to figure out what Lucien was talking about. She realized, it was her ability to command, that had Lucien on his knees. ‘Lucien, please could you just stop this. Do you have any idea what your mates feel?' Whisper sighed. ‘They were forced on me.' Lucien stated. He was angry by the rules, that said his mates were his responsibility, they were become a liability to him. ‘And it was not their fault.’ Whisper answered. She liked to pretend that Lucien was a good man, for he had been his friend since they were young. The garden they were sitting in was where they had pretended to be the king. It was the same place where they had built a tree house to stay away from the eyes of people. If Whisper knew what lied on the ground under her, she would've never climbed down. ‘Forget about them.' Lucien waved it off. 'Reason I came here is to give you this.' He extended a box towards her. Whisper looked at the box with suspicion, wondering what it could be. Ace stepped closer and sniffed the box. 'He is protective of you, I don't blame him.’ ‘What is that box?' She questioned, pointing at the box in Lucien's hand. ‘It's a dress I want you to wear this to the Lilac Moon Festival.' Lucien almost commanded. She had to hold back a nod that her inner wolf was forcing on her. Ace was still glaring holes into Lucien; he knew his master was uneasy, he could sense that. ‘I'll be in battle gear. Nothing suits a warrior more than metal, not even the finest silks.’ She retorted. She didn't refuse it, because Lucien bought it. She refused it, because she wouldn't be an ordinary maiden at the Lilac Moon Festival. She was a soldier and she had to serve her duties at the festival. ‘But beside a warrior, you're a young maiden.' He shifted closer. By instinct she would step back, but she refused to. For one step taken back, would give Lucien the pleasure of her fear. Whisper could do anything but let someone see her fear. ‘The only one, who deserves to wear the finest silk, is a finer woman.’ ‘With all the politeness and courtesy, I refuse the fine gift.' She answered. No Alpha around the Forever Forest could intimidate Whisper, no one but Lucien. Lucien placed the box right beside her, making Ace, run towards the box and sniff it. Whisper looked at the box that had the royal emblem of the crescent moon over it. She was determined to not pick it up. The rain could destroy the silk or Ace might as well chew it. She was not wearing it. ‘The Alpha King is requesting, Whisper. It is your choice after this.’He nodded and seconds later the carriage was going back to the castle. ………………………....................................................................................... ‘I have no idea, what Lucien wants from me.' Whisper said as she twirled the fine black silk around her finger. The box was certainly bought in when; Whisper's decency came in the way of her self- respect. Though she was determined to not wear it at the Lilac Moon, or anywhere else. ‘Love, obviously.' Adlecia laughed. As if it wasn't evident already, she stated it again. It sometimes annoyed Whisper, how Adlecia was giggly at all times. The biggest problem with Whisper was, she wanted to be stronger than a man and yet wanted to be like a man. She wasn't running from herself, but, hating herself. ‘I had no idea.’ She rolled her eyes sarcastically at her sister-in-law. She needed someone to advise her, not to state the facts already obvious. Her dad will be anguished if he was exposed to the fact and the relationship between his daughter and the Alpha prince. Talon was no good, being a protective brother. Her mom would be elated, bringing the mate topic up again. Christian was a very intellectual man, but this situation was not quite his genre. That left Adlecia, a young, optimistic and smart Gamma. ‘He is supposed to like you. You were there for him when King Lucifer died; you've been friends for long. He is allowed to have feelings for you.' Adlecia replied. This was not the reply that Whisper wanted to hear, this was the same reply her mother would've given. ‘So? That allows him to do this to me.’ She groaned. She didn't like it when people sided Lucien, because he was deeply in love. Ace was better than them, because he seemed to hate Lucien. 'Whisper, it's time to go.’ Talon came in the room and Whisper stood up ready to go back to the castle. The holiday was over; it was time to go back to the duty. Whisper nodded in reply. The neighing of a horse was audible. Evidently the royal carriage had arrived. ‘Goodbye, Adlecia.’ Whisper wished with a small smile and started walking out. ‘Take care.’ Adlecia smiled back. The moment Whisper left the room, Talon was ready to follow. 'You too, Talon.’ She added. ‘Sure, take care of yourself as well.’ Talon nodded. Adlecia couldn’t believe her ears, this was the first time Talon sounded polite towards her. It seemed like a dream and she nodded with a huge smile. ……………………..................................................................................................... Only a day was left for the Lilac Moon Festival. It was a grand festival for the entire Forever Woods. They could see love rise during the festival. But for soldiers, it was a tough day. The gates of the Seba Kingdom were open for all. People from Ivory Woods came in, it was a great opportunity for the enemies to rise. Whisper was busy executing the strategies of Gammas. She dreaded the day when a Rogue would intrude the festival. Because she had promised to not let the civilians of Forever Forest get hurt. But something else kept bugging her, what if she actually found her mate. Her mate would obviously dominate her, seeing that she was the weakest of all the kinds. She was worried, that probably this time she'll be losing her ego, which was giant. She fought the world, its people and herself. But how would she fight her destiny, something that had been written down for her. This didn't happen every year; she was least bothered about finding her mate. But this year, all of it felt different. As if a change was coming towards her, and she couldn't stop it. ………………………………….................................. ‘All the soldiers will be going back to the town where the festival actually is.' Talon announced looking at the troop, commanding them. The other 15 troop leaders were all beside him. There were 15 troop leaders in the army and each had their own troop. Talon was the head of the Beta Troop 1, the largest Beta troop. Only the King Alpha could be the leader of the Alpha troop. Because of being an Omega, Whisper was the troop leader of the Delta Troop and couldn't be promoted further. ‘Your troop leaders will show you, your positions. Every position will have two soldiers that can substitute each other after every 2 hours.' Dane added and a loud yes sir echoed around them. ‘Also, 12 soldiers from every troop have been already sent at the venue.' Whisper announced in a bold voice. 'Vampires are coming, make sure the festival goes without an incident.’ Vampires came every year, since it was like a peace making action. The moment vampires started coming in, everyone realized that it helped resolve conflicts without much problem. ‘That's it, happy love festival to you all. Dismissed.’ Xavier, the leader of the Beta-Delta troop announced. …………........................................................................ The Lilac Moon Festival finally arrived. Morning 3:00 AM and the entire sky was colored purple. Clouds were scattered and peace white, in color, were complimenting the color of vigor behind it. It was a hectic day for the entire castle. The carriages were being filed with soldiers and driven to the venue. Dane was ordering the carriages to different directions that lead to different gates of the Ebony Forest. Talon was taking note of all the soldiers. While Whisper and Xavier were in-charge of welcoming the Vampire Royalty. Though during the evening Whisper was going to become Lucien's bodyguard with Dane. The black carriage started pulling right in front of the castle, where Whisper awaited the arrival of the Xurean Vampire Bloodline. They were the backbone of the Ivory Forest Politics. They were the family that ruled that place they had assumed as a Democracy. Eterna Xurean, the queen and Ezra Xurean, her son, they had the upper hand in the Vampire Kingdom. He was a popular vampire and an important person in the entire Forever Forest. He was the king after all, he was a great king, Someone who didn't have to step down the throne for 2500 years. The carriage had two black horses pulling it. It was entirely covered in fine black velvet decorated with purple roses. The carriage stopped and Xavier, stepped up front to open the door. While Whisper stayed in her position. A middle-aged blonde woman stepped down. She had beautiful golden eyes and pale skin like all the other vampires. Her large, gray tailed skirt dressed, swept behind her as she walked on the lilac carpet. ‘Welcome, Queen Eterna, we are honored to have you here.’ Whisper smiled at the lady bowing her neck slightly. ‘We are honored to be here. It's a pleasure, like every year.' Eterna responded to the omega with a dignified smile, a smile that hesitated to go any wider. ‘Though, unlike every year, we are privileged to have King Ezra in the Seba Kingdom.' Xavier added as the king stepped down the carriage. He was a tall man, pale yet he felt so warm. He had beautiful golden eyes filled with an excitement and mischievousness. He had a sharp jaw-line and clean shaved cheeks that added a rustic touch to the appearance. His hair was gelled back with a piece of hair falling down to his forehead. He was wearing a long coat that reached his ankles, with giant collars touched his cheeks. ‘Oh! How I wish you were staring me down like that.' Someone whispered into Whisper's ear, making her flinch and grip her sword, until she realized it was Lucien with his annoying smirk. ‘I wasn't staring.' She defended. She was just surprised by the beauty of a vampire. The first two vampires to exist needed everything. So they dealt their death for forever youth and beauty. They were the most beautiful creatures, blessed with enchanting appearances. ‘Good for you.’ The mischievousness in Lucien's eyes disappeared; he looked rather serious and angered now. Ezra walked towards the group that consisted of his mother, Lucien and Whisper, followed by Xavier. ‘Thank you for having us, Alpha.' Ezra greeted Lucien and they both exchanged a handshake. But what intrigued Ezra was the girl beside Lucien. She wasn't too tall, suggesting she wasn't a beta, but her battle gear said otherwise. Ezra turned to Whisper and extended a hand. ‘And you are Beta…’ Ezra was cut off by her reply. ‘Omega, Omega Whisper Bloodrose.’ Whisper declared rejecting the hand that had been extended towards her. Ezra seemed shocked, but not as much as her mother. ‘I don't know much about Werewolves, but I am aware that Omegas are not warriors.' Eterna shook her head. Whisper was disgraced; her kind was the reason of her shame. ‘She is an exception, Omegas are not of importance to a pack, but she is.' Lucien stepped in before Whisper could reply. It didn't help at all though. A silence dropped over the conversation. Eterna and Ezra both seemed shocked to their nerves. Werewolves were followers of rules, rebels were not born among them. Vampires were the one who liked to break rules; they had no idea that both their kinds were interested in one game. ‘I shall guide you to your boudoirs.' Xavier broke the silence. Eterna nodded and started walking behind Xavier, followed by Lucien. Whisper started to join, but was stopped by Ezra. ‘I am impressed.’ Ezra commented. Whisper turned around to look at him and he indeed looked impressed. ‘Of What?' She questioned, although she knew the answer already. She just liked it when someone appreciated her for being a warrior. She felt proud, her skills was the only thing she could boast about. ‘You, I thought rebels weren't born among Werewolves, I was wrong.' He nodded and that was all he said before following behind the group that left. …………........................................................................ Talon and Whisper left for the city almost immediately, to see all the security at the venue. Exactly at 6:00 PM they went back to their house to clean themselves. Lilac Moon Festival used to start at 8:00, meaning they didn't have too long. Whisper grabbed her clothes and started putting them on. She got dressed in a black shirt with, a pair of red slacks and dress shoes. She started putting on a white asymmetrical white vest when suddenly her mother entered the room with something in her hand. The box that Lucien had left, the moment Whisper glanced at it. She knew what her mother wanted and even before she asked about it. Whisper had answered it. That would be the last cloth she'd put on. ‘Don't even think about it.’ She declared before the conversation went any further. Not only it was a feminine outfit, unfit for war. But it was bought by Lucien. Wearing it would clearly scream that Whisper submitted. And Whisper could die, but couldn't submit. ‘Why? It is such a beautiful dress.’ Edith insisted caressing the soft fabric. She was impressed by the softness of that cloth; it was such a delicate piece that you would fear, to have it stuck somewhere. The softness was incomparable, it made your hand slip when you touched the plum colored fabric. ‘You wear it. I don't mind.' Whisper shrugged gathering her white cape and wrapping it around her neck and attaching the hook, to the collar of her shirt. ‘It's not funny, he asked you to wear it. Why don't you?’ Edith insisted. She had never seen Whisper in a dress. It was either in battle gear or casual shirts. ‘I have a duty to do and I don't want that dress to get in the way of that.' She replied carelessly gathering her weapons. A dagger she hid in between her leg and boots, the mandatory sword, and the pendant. The pendant was her secret weapon, it seemed like an ordinary pendant but it was a make-shift weapon she had made. She had filled a tiny fiber glass container, the length of a finger with blue colored acid. ‘You know it's not obligatory to dress yourself in fine weapons.' Edith commented, placing the plum colored dress carefully on the bed. ‘You never know.' She replied looking at her dressed self in the mirror. Edith wouldn't deny, Whisper looked stunning dressed manly but she did want to see her like the other girls around the Forever Forest. ‘Fine, I'll just stop insisting you never listen either way.’ Edith shrugged and sighed walking towards the door. Did Whisper know her mother was pretending? Yes. Could she deny? No. Whisper sighed in defeat, now she knows where her tenacity comes from. She couldn't say no. She ended up stripping out her old clothes and stepping into the new ones. When she wore the dress that Lucien bought for her, she felt naked. She had a sense of insecurity in her as if submission had come to make her submit. She opened her French braid and allowed them liberty. That way she had at least some sense of freedom. Unhooking her cape, unbuttoning her shirt and removing the royal brooch had never been so difficult. Whisper stepped into the plum colored dress and she still felt was empty and uncertain. She hoped Lucien wouldn't notice. The dress fit her perfectly, as if it was tailor made for her. It indeed was, for Lucien took years to look for the shade that'll compliment her skin the best, a fabric that'll fit her perfectly and the silhouette that will highlight all the right places. That was how the A-line skirt shaped, plum colored; silk dress was made exclusively for Whisper. It was a plum colored dress, with an off-shoulder top and an A-line skirt that reached her ankle, with no frills and train, to represent her simplicity. ‘You look gorgeous.' Edith said with watery eyes, her happiness couldn't be measured. She had never felt such delight before. According to Edith she looked comprehensive in that dress. But Whisper had never felt so incomplete before. She was trapped in that silky fabric. It felt as if she was losing certain parts of her personality, as if a little by little her sword was fading into tiny petals and disappearing. ‘If you say so.’ Whisper mumbled to herself. Clothes never mattered to Whisper, they didn't bother, but that day was different. She learned the relevance of her clothes when she was put out of them and placed into the ones that didn't fit. Her clothes displayed feeling and spoke the stories of her bravery without even being asked to. They were her comfort zone and now she was pulled out of it. This dress wasn't desirable, sure it was gorgeous or alluring, but it wasn't Whisper. ‘My God, is that you, Whisper?' Talon asked with wide eyes and an evident swallow. His eyes were expanding at the sight of the new version of his own sister. He had never seen her like this, she looked completely different. ‘I know, isn't she beautiful.’ Edith gawked. She knew her daughter was pretty, but at that moment, Whisper looked delicate and gentle, unlike her usual form. ‘She is entrancing.' Talon looked deep into her eyes. He wasn't like a normal brother, who had to protect their sisters. His sister was there to protect herself, so he never got the chance to be the big brother he wished to be. He could never feel protectiveness towards Whisper, due to the strengths she had. But today he saw the feminine Whisper surfacing and was immediately kicked in the big brother mood. ‘I think it is time to go.' Whisper, announced, pulling Talon with herself. She just needed to be out of a place where people would gawk at her. Though every person in The Forever Forest would be dumbstruck at the new look of Whisper Bloodrose, with one mumble surfacing the omega is rising in her. She might hit a few people today, Lucien being one of them. ‘Whisper!' Saige gasped when she bumped into him on her way out. The dress seemed to disrupt her by tangling itself with her feet, and that was not the only discomfort. But when Saige saw her, she wanted to run away with all the discomfort of her outfit. Her father couldn't see her like that, he molded her to fit in war clothes and there she was dressed like the princess of Forever Forest. Saige was numb; it was a rude shake in his bubble. He liked seeing Whisper strong and independent, like she was, like he had made her, but when he saw her dressed like his daughter rather than his student he was forced out. All these years he had treated her like a soldier, she was given a rough upbringing with strict rules. But now, he realized he treated his daughter wrong. He was so desperate to become a good teacher, he forgot being a good father along the way. Just one change in appearance and everyone were looking at Whisper differently. All these years they almost forgot that Whisper was an Omega, this dress was a reminder that no matter how much she ran everything came back for her. ‘I-I'll change.’ Whisper stammered, turning around to go back and put on her previous outfit. ‘No, don't. You look enchanting.' Saige quickly said, looking at her daughter walking away. Whisper turned around with hidden shock in her eyes. It was unbelievable, how his father completely did the opposite of what Whisper thought he might do. ‘Thanks, Dad.’ She smiled back, a fake yet not too fake smile. ‘Please come with me, Whisper.’ Saige asked, walking as if he was sure she would follow. First time had Saige said ‘please’ to his daughter. It was always a demand but this time it was a desire he expressed, that she had an option to not follow. Talon pointed his head towards the door, telling Whisper to follow and curiously enough she did. The royal carriage awaited outside their house to take the Bloodrose family to the venue. The only audible sound in the atmosphere was of the white horse neighing. Whisper and Saige walked side to side, with an awkward silence around them. She had never seen, her father so nervous and she was not ready to. ‘You know Whisper.’ Saige broke the silence with his words flying away in the atmosphere. 'I have been a bad father.’ He sighed. Whisper was shocked, Saige was an ideal father. He was everything she wanted to be. She turned to him, to look for power, but she saw guilt. He was all, she could wish for. Saige was the best teacher, but was Saige the best father? ‘No, Dad, you-‘ before Whisper could say another word. Saige interrupted him with a shake of his head. ‘Just listen.’ Saige said.‘I was very disappointed when you were born, an Omega was born in the family that produced the best Alphas. I was not in love with my daughter, but with the warrior inside her.' He confessed. Whisper's lips flattered. She knew her kind was a disappointment, but today when his dad said it, it was more painful than ever. The run she was on, only fastened. ‘But I was wrong, I was not only a bad father, but a bad teacher.' He held his daughter's hand in his own. He had a feeling he was about to lose her. As if, a drastic change would come today under this lilac sky. ‘I don't understand.’ Whisper shook her head a crack invading her voice. ‘As a kid you always had nightmares, you would yell in your bedroom to be saved. But I stayed in my bed, listening to your wails. Edith would cry for me to let her go, but I would refuse. So one day you realized that no one would save you other than yourself. Now I wish, I should have come to you that I should have been a better father.’He sighed. Whisper was was at loss of words, she silently heard her father, who was letting his walls down for the first time. ‘I taught you, to be better than Omegas. Now, I want to tell you. Don't run from your kind. You are afraid you would come out as an Omega. But that is what you are, and you are not weak just like Omegas are not. Fight to be better than another, not to be better than yourself. Respect what you are. Fight like the one you are, fight like an Omega.’ Whisper didn't understand what his dad wanted to say that day, but when it all came she learned what he meant. …………................................................................... The entire gravel ground was covered in purple petals and grasses that the toad fairies had prepared. After all, Lilac Moon Festival was the only time all the Forever Forest could come together in one place. It was the only time the other kinds got to see their masters The Vampires and The Werewolves. Presents were bought for the royalty that ranged from, magically prepared swords to enchanting fragrances. So all the creatures could thank their rulers for not only governing them but maintaining peace. Elves danced and sang little songs, some that praised love, others that repeated tales. The pups ran around with their, parents. Little shops were set up by the witches that sold, Love Potions or Sweetest Apples, even magically prepared fabrics. The dwarfs, played instruments that fairies agreed to prepare at high rates. Hybrids walked around looking at one gorgeous place and then the other. Shape-Shifters had bought their supernatural animals. Some Vampires could be spotted, that made their way as smug as ever. Werewolf ladies, walked around gracefully in their finest jewels and clothes. Every lady without a mate had a blush creeping on her cheeks. All the men looked at every lady, to look for their mate before the holy hour. Tiny circular lights were hanging in mid air, that the fairies of light had prepared. It looked like those were fireflies, hanging high above them. But that was not the only source that had the venue lighted up. The Ignitias, one of the very common birds in Mystica. They glowed with a silver colored light, and stayed in a V-Formation above the venue of Lilac Moon Festival, which was the only time Ignitias were seen in groups. This was another story Christian's many vases said, that once the queen of Ignitias fell in love with the Alpha Prince. But his mother disapproved it, and cursed Queen of Ignitias that her kind may never dwell in groups again. Alpha Prince, enraged by his mother killed himself on the same ground where they celebrated the Festival of Love. Mourning his death, his lover died above his body. The enraged werewolf queen, wailed her son's death and wanted to take the curse back. But couldn't so, she said again. “This day forward, none shall die without love, my son's mourning would be the day every werewolf shall find their love and Ignitias shall form their group.” But the biggest source of light was, the Lilac Moonlight that shined upon all. The sky was colored plum and pretty just like Whisper. When she entered, the busy situation stopped for a minute to look upon her. Everyone was purely in shock, no one could recognize her without a second glance. Nobody could tell, she was the Delta Group General. They couldn't believe it was, the same Whisper that entered the place in ripped slacks and falling apart shirts, after a war. ‘I am still on duty.' She yelled and the busy yelling and conversations were back again. The Royalty, hadn't come yet so Whisper could look after a little more arrangements. But it was difficult with the dress she wore, and she kept stomping her foot in frustration. ‘Calm down, Whisper.' Dane tried to stop her from getting so frustrated. She was a vital member of the team and an aggressive one, her anger was not at all good anywhere other than War zone. ‘How can I!' She yelled rubbing her forehead aggressively. 'This dress is annoying.’She fisted the cloth of her skirt, with her hand and when she left the grip, it didn't even crease. 'Ugh! It doesn't crease, I have absolutely no reason to not wear it.’ ‘It is fine you look beautiful.' Dane insisted, so Whisper would let the dress go and divert her mind somewhere that wouldn't annoy her. ‘I am ripping it off.' She grumbled. ‘Look, Whisper. I suggest you take a walk around, eat a few apples and cakes and then come back.’ Dane suggested making Whisper fire a deadly glare his direction. ‘No, I am on duty.’ She answered. ‘I insist, go I will take care of this just come back when The Alpha King comes.’ Dane raised an eyebrow. Whisper would have not taken it, but something was exhausting her. She felt tired and out of it, so she agreed. She had seen the festival, many times. She had seen the shape-shifters that showed little stunts here and there, the elves and dwarfs who danced and sang. The enchanting birds flying everywhere, the animal fighting or the witches who sold magical items. But every time, she saw this one area she hated. A giant silver colored marquee, that sold souls. Where lived the wolves that were expelled from their families or the Omegas, who had only one option to become a prostitute. They could be bought or sold, they could be rented. The sight of the naked Omegas, made a chill run down her spine. She could have ended up like this, what if someday she really falls into that place. Though not every Omega ended that way, others ended up being family ladies, that was no god to Whisper. She was scared of nothing, but this. That someday she would end up being treated, like her kind is. She didn't want to fight to give others their rights, she only wanted to fight for herself. As Saige said, she wanted to be better than herself. ‘Pervert.' Someone said from behind her. At instinct of a warrior, she produced her dagger from the sheath she had held for too long. Whisper's heart had never bounced at the sight of a male, but this time it did. She held her dagger, close to his neck in a frozen movement. Her breathing was at a slower pace than ever, as she felt the man's gaze on her. He could've snatched the dagger from her, and she would've stayed frozen. But he was in a state as good as that of Whisper. His gray eyes, met the green orbs of Whisper and stayed glued. The boy had managed to mesmerize, the cold blooded Omega. He held such delicately tanned skin that shined beautifully in the purple moon light, emphasizing the edges of his biceps and chest. His black hair was styled in a quaff, with the shades of eggplant purple in them. His tall self was clad in, white shirt, with the first three button wide open. The shirt was untucked, with a purple cape that was wrapped around his neck. His sense of clothing was so rebellious that Whisper, saw her rebellion self in them. He himself couldn't take his eyes off her. Her green eyes held him in place, preventing a move. Everything from her pale skin to her long brown hair flowing in free spirit was breath taking. ‘If you want to kill me just say it, I am hypnotized either way.’He smirked, raising his hands up in playful surrender. Whisper's meditation broke at that point. She quickly collected her persona back and brought the dagger's point further close to his neck, making both his eyes and smirk widen. ‘Oh! That won't be needed.’She whispered and brushed the point all so slightly down his shoulder. Not even one trickle of blood spilled from his skin, only the white shirt fell off. ‘As I said, pervert.’ He grinned and Whisper placed the dagger on his stomach, the point poked his stomach but didn't pierce it. ‘Smug, now aren't we.' Whisper retorted with a chuckle only to receive one back. This guy had no idea what could happen to him. ‘Much more, wanna see.' He teased. Whisper was angry at him, who appeared to act brave at the edge of her dagger. She turned his wrist tightly, making a crack sound erupt, and a whimper escaped his lips. She turned him around placing the dagger back on his neck and twisting his wrist even harder. ‘Calm down, lady. My hand isn't fake.’ He retorted and she rolled his eyes at the guy's behavior. ‘What is your name?' She demanded in a loud voice. ‘That is a great way to ask introduction.’He retorted only for Whisper to twist his wrist again and he whimpered. ‘Name.’She yelled in his ear. ‘I am Rebel.’ He answered. Whisper knew name suggested a lot. ‘Undoubtedly, introduce like a werewolf.' She demanded again with increasing authority in her voice. ‘Is it necessary.’ He sighed annoyingly and Whisper twisted the wrist again. ‘I am Alpha Rebel Claw, of the house Claw and coven pack Crimson Canines; son of Alpha Tyson Claw.' He sighed and Whisper let go. The introduction was correct and valid so she couldn't say a word. ‘I took so much unnecessary trouble.' She groaned. Before she could come back to her senses, Rebel grabbed her wrist snatching the dagger from her hands and pushed her against a tree with his body pressuring her's. The time froze again as Whisper didn't make even one mere move of struggle so mesmerized by the eyes of her enemy. ‘Name.’ He whispered, his lips close to her ear, and his hand wrapping against her waist. Before Whisper knew, her inner Omega had already answered. She never felt so out of control as she felt then. ‘Whisper.' She answered out of breath. His naked chest heaved up and down against her body and she never felt this sensuality ever. ‘Like a werewolf.' He demanded this time, his lips forming a smirk. He ran the tip of the cold knife, against the edge of her neck and she sighed involuntarily. ‘Omega Whisper Bloodrose, of house Bloodrose, and coven pack Crimson Canines; daughter of Saige Bloodrose.' She answered. ‘You seem like a good warrior, how could you forget the basic.’ He asked running the tip of her dagger down her shoulder in a steady movement. ‘Never loose focus.’ He teased. The moment he completed the sentence he felt a cold tip against the back of his neck, with a smile on Whisper's lips. ‘Who said I did.’ She asked. ‘I like you.' He stated with his smirk never leaving his lips. Whisper nodded and agreed, not because she was merely enticed but because he didn't question how she was a good warrior even after being an Omega.
