Lilith and Light woke up after sleeping for a while and found that the clock hadn't moved, and the weather and time were the same as yesterday. They went to the main room where they found Dark, who told them to sit down, and they did. Dark went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast while Light played with Lilith. Dark prepared the food, brought it to the table, and they began to eat.
Light said, "What is happening? We slept and ate, and I haven't noticed any changes in the world outside. Even if you look at the mountain opposite, there's a rock that has stopped moving, even though it's impossible for it to stop on such a slope."
Dark replied, "As expected from your sharp observation, you have slept for sixteen years."
Lilith interrupted, "What do you mean, you crazy uncle? Do you mean we're like bears in hibernation? I always tell you, Dad, that he's crazy."
Light looked at her firmly and then said, "Let your uncle finish his words, you hasty one."
Dark continued, "I really didn't lie. You slept for almost eight hours, and here, an hour is seven hundred and thirty days outside the mountain, which is almost two years. So, during your sleep, sixteen years have passed outside."
In astonishment, Lilith said, "Oh, that seems like a great thing, even though I didn't understand anything."
Light said, "If we stay here for a very long time, measured in years, the wave will take over the entire continent, and humanity will become extinct."
Dark replied, "I don't know. If humans remain selfish, this will be the end. But every rule has exceptions, doesn't it? If a hero appears among humans, he can change the fate of the entire continent. And if he doesn't..." He paused and said, "Anyway, you need to be that hero or stronger by thousands of times to achieve your goal."
Light replied, "I don't aim to protect anyone except those I love. I'm not a hero proud of saving people. I'm even willing to wipe out a village of humans if necessary or if they harm those I love. We live in a world devoid of humanity, where everyone aims to protect themselves and their loved ones, not everyone else. You know this very well, Dark."
Dark clapped and said, "You're right, the world has no heroes, but it needs heroes. Anyway, you can end this farce if you take down the storm."
Light replied sarcastically, "Really? Do you think this will end? The villagers are humans. Do you know what this means? We humans are strange creatures striving for power and dominance. It's our instinct. Ending the storm isn't the end. These wars will only end with the end of humanity. So, I'm not interested in saving or killing them, anyway."
Dark sighed and said, "Damn, you're right about everything you said. Currently, you're aiming for absolute power to protect Lilith and yourself. Okay then, just know that as time passes and you mature, all your ideas will change. It seems they've already started changing, and the best example is Lilith. But that doesn't matter right now. Since your return from the cell, it seems you've merged with something or someone..."
Before he could finish, the parasite appeared and said, "Hello, waiter."
Dark smiled and said, "It seems you've hit the jackpot, Light."
In amazement, Lilith said, "What do you mean, Dark?"
Dark replied, "It seems he didn't take over your brain, and that's the jackpot."
The parasite said, "What do you mean by that? Who am I? All I remember are the few centuries I lived in the plagued village, where the inhabitants sought death. All that controls me is my instinct from then."
Dark replied, "It seems you've really lost your memory. Your race is prouder than the dragons. They wouldn't say such things. Arrogance comes naturally to your race, which is strange. Also, your race didn't come from this land or this world. You're from the previous world's races."
Light replied, "What do you mean?"
Dark said, "It's not time yet to know these things. Everything in its turn." Then he continued, "It seems you have merged and become complementary to each other. So, you can exploit the parasite's power, Light."
The parasite said, "I don't know what my race's power is, but I only got this person's memories. His feelings only transferred to me a few times. Also, I gained the ability to think after merging with him."
Dark asked, "Did you eat a monster after merging with the parasite, Light?"
Light said, "Do I look crazy? Who would eat those poisons?"
Dark said, "For humans and other creatures, they are poisons. But for you, it's the opposite."
The parasite asked, "How so?"
Dark replied, "Don't rush things. Listen to me in detail. Parasites have a power called extraction. This ability allows them to extract a monster's power from its essence and merge it into their body. This is what makes this race one of the strongest. The more you eat, the stronger you become. You're now a semi-human, Light, so you can surpass this race's limits. You're no longer bound by aging, but by the number and type of your prey. All you have to do is walk and take down this wave. You can hone your powers with your prey and start your path with magic. You can also eat whatever you want. No matter how many years you spend, only a few days or months will pass here, during which I will teach Lilith her power and help her with her first transformation. All you need to do is seek power, and I'll tell you everything once you finish this mission. It's a difficult task, but you must pursue this path. You are one."
Dark stood up, brought a box and some books, and continued, "These are magic books containing secrets and spells. In this box, there are many development jewels and magic potions that will help you on your path. There's also armor and two swords better than your current armor and weapons."
Then he took out a small bag from his pocket and handed it to Light, saying, "This is a magic bag that can hold up to a hundred kilograms. Keep it safe."
Light said, "Thank you, Dark. I promise to return safely and wait for you to finish telling your story. Take good care of Lilith until I return, brother."
Dark said, "Don't worry about her. She's in safe hands and she's strong."
Lilith replied, "Yes, don't worry. I'm very, very, very strong."
Light smiled and said, "Thank you all. I think it's time to start a new adventure."
Light put on his armor and left. Then he said to the parasite, "It seems Dark has many secrets, but he's trustworthy. I wonder how strong he is."
The parasite replied, "As for his strength, I couldn't determine its limits. As for the secrets, your secrets can change the world, making you the most important being in the history of this world."
light laughed and said, "Not to that extent, I think."
