Chapter Six - Caglajan

1171 Words
Thola POV I was glaring at Miles as he looked like he was going to s**t himself. I was pointing at him seething. “You… You sent that f*****g puma! That khuyesos (asshole) drives a f*****g puma and you know how much I hate that thing, and still you sent that when you could have sent the unicorn! That's my baby! I would have much rather been in that. And, on top of that, I hear you said that she was too conspicuous! That's like calling her fat! AND THEN, on top of all that, that f*****g horrendous statue is still out there! What the f**k even is that? That thing is creepy as hell and I have to look at it again? And WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU LAUGHING AT DARREL? And David, if you don’t wipe that smirk off your face right now I will do it for you…” My voice trailed off when my eyes met the bluest eyes I've ever seen causing, a wave of calm I can only describe as perfection to wash over me. ‘WOW who is that?’ I thought to myself still staring. Taking him in, my eyes start at his feet and move up his body. I get to his toned chest a little pissed that his shirt is hindering my view. I notice his fully tattooed arms as well as tattoos poking out of the collar of his shirt on his neck. Continuing the journey, I take in his features. His black hair cut in a typical army cut, my eyes on his again, I see the amused look along with... Pride, Lust, and... What is that? Love? ‘No, that can’t be.’ I think to myself, shaking my head. I look to Miles again, who was now looking at the man with recognition and relief now that I was distracted. “Ah, Ekkehard. Good, you’ve made it.” Miles stated as people start to disperse and the man I knocked out was being carried to the hospital wing. ‘Oops... sorry, not sorry.’ I thought to myself as Darrel, David and I make our way to Miles. “Miles,” his crazy deep ass voice replied, causing shivers to run up my spine. ‘Oh man, I wonder what my name coming from his lips would sound like. Mmmm, him moaning my name while he,,, Wait what the f**k was that?’ I shook my head at the direction my thoughts took. ‘On a mission here, Thola!’ I scolded myself. “Well, let’s go back to my office and I’ll introduce you all, shall we?” Miles said sending me a look while I discreetly stare at the Adonis that stands close to me, taking in his pineapple and woodsy scent. “Miles...” I start, “I swear if that room is a mess I will f**k you right up before you even say a word.” I threaten and seeing his frightened look causes me to smirk and everyone else to chuckle. ‘Oh, wow. That was like a melody, I could listen to it all day.’ I thought hearing his chuckle that seemed louder than the rest. ‘What the f**k is wrong with me?’ While walking, I notice Ekkehard is sneaking small glances in my direction and glaring at men who are staring too long, but I just brush it off. Finally coming to a stop at Miles’ office he unlocks the door and with one last quick glance at me opens the door with a small smirk. We all piled in and I frowned. “Well damn Thola. Looks like you’re going to have to find someone else to take your rage out on, eh?” David teased. “You volunteering Rodnoy brat (brother)?” I asked raising my brow. “Looks like you’re safe Miles. Now, EXPLAIN!” I said, raising my voice at the end making him flinch. Miles knowing that my brother is so important to me and he may be responsible for this. “Right, well, first introductions. Thola, Darrel and David this is Ekkehard and Frederick. They’re going to be joining you. Ekkehard, Frederick this is Thola, Darrel and David. This is who you are joining on the recovery mission. There will be a proper briefing later on but I know that I will not get her...” He said, nodding toward me, “out of here without saying something.” Miles stated. “Got that right, f*****g brother complex.” David muttered causing Darrel and Miles to chuckle and me to shoot daggers into the side of his head. “Right. Well, it’s like this. Malechai got some intel while you boys were on leave so he took Mystic Dawn, seeing as they were here and not wanting to bother you guys’ holiday.” He paused, sending me a sad look. “None of us could guess that they would go missing. They checked in when they set up camp and again after they made contact with the informants. After that we got nothing so we waited 24 hours. That’s when I called you Thola.” He said with remorse. “s**t,” everyone, but me, said in unison. “Miles...” I trailed off with a weak sounding voice “Where?” was all I could get out as I looked up from staring at the floor desperately trying to keep my tears at bay. “Thola…” he started and I knew he wasn’t wanting to tell me. “NO MILES!” I scream. “YOU f*****g TELL ME! RIGHT DAMN NOW! YOU DON’T GET TO KEEP THAT FROM ME... you don’t get to... just please that’s my brother and my second family...” I trailed feeling a tear slide down my face. I know, I know exactly where, but I need to hear it I need him to say it. “Caglajan,” He uttered the name of the one place that I swore I would never return to again. ‘What the hell Malé why would you take Mystic Dawn when there is a female on the team? s**t, f**k you i***t!’ “Carlee...” I whispered as I wiped my eyes fixing them into a glare on Miles. “You thought you would just approve this team to go out like that? Like, did you even once think what those people would do to her if something like this happened? You f****d up Miles! You f****d up real good this time.” I stated walking out. “She gonna be alright?” I heard Frederick ask. “yeah...” David starts but I don’t stick around to hear the rest. I need to call the informants. * RIIIIING RIIIIING *
