Chapter Five - HIM

Ekkehard POV

“UGH, do we really have to do this?” asked my beta and best friend as we left to get on board my private jet.

“YES! For the millionth time, we do.” I said getting annoyed.

Ever since he found his mate he’s been whiny every time we have to leave her behind. ‘Plus, I feel like something good is going to happen,’ Ely, my wolf said in my head.

‘What is up with you? Ever since we got the call you’ve been going nuts.’ I asked him

‘I don’t know yet so hush and hurry up,’ Ely replied, closing himself off from me.

“C’mon man. It’s not our fault they sent their man into a crap situation and now we gotta go bail him out.” He said with a huff. No doubt thinking about the young Russian girl back home.

“Look even if I wanted to turn it down, Ely wouldn’t let me,” I said.

“Dumb wolf,” Frederick muttered, causing Ely to growl at his disrespect.

Climbing up the stairs to my jet I was thinking about what my mate might possibly be like.

‘I hope she’s small so we can engulf her in our arms and hold her to us,’ Ely said dreamily.

‘You think? I just hope that we find her soon,’ I said depressed, because I have been waiting for her since I turned 18. 14 years of waiting.

Coming back to my senses as I enter the jet, the leggy and very beautiful blonde flight attendant greeted me with a flirty smile.

“Welcome back, Alpha,” she said fluttering her eyelashes while reaching out to touch my arm.

“Thank you, June.” I said sending her a wink.

‘DON’T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! NOT AGAIN, WAIT FOR MATE!’ Ely hollered in my head Causing me to wince.

‘What the hell is your problem mutt? We haven’t met our mate. We are free to play all we want till then.’ I said kissing the back of June’s hand.

‘You disgust me Ek. Mate will hate us because of your player ways, you know.’ He said retreating.

I sighed knowing he was probably right so I walked away, leaving a very confused lady standing there while I took my seat next to Frederick.

“Fighting with Ely again, about your mate?” Fred asked.

“Yeah,” I said.

“You know he’s right, right? Yelena almost rejected me because of that right” Fred stated.

“But, it’s not like we know when we are going to find our mates.” I replied.

“Ek, the point is that we know they are out there and made for us. How would you feel mated to a she-wolf that didn’t wait for you simply because she ‘didn’t know when she would find you’?” He asked.

A growl tore from my throat and right then I knew that I had f****d up big time. It was only going to take another hour to get to the base so I decided to take a short nap.

“Hey Ek, wake up man. We’re here,” Fred said shaking me.

“I’m up, I’m up!” I said as Ely was pacing in my head.

‘What the hell, Ely? What’s going on? You’re giving me a headache.’

‘Hurry up! Go in! Go into the base! We need to go now!’ Ely said as he continued his assault on my brain.

“You good, Ek?” Fred asked.

“Yeah, let’s just hurry up.” I said speed walking past the flight attendant who had an expectant look on her face, but no thank you. I had to see what the hell is driving this mutt crazy.

Walking down the hallway from where the jet dropped us, I saw people rushing towards the front of the building murmuring about how ‘she’ is going to kill someone.

“Guess we start there, huh?” Fred asked.

“Yup I guess let’s go” I said as Ely tried rushing me.

‘Hurry up and walk human!’ Ely shouted.

We were just coming around the corner when I heard a melodic voice bellow, “WHAT THE f**k WAS THAT?” so loud and powerful it seemed that the walls shook.

“What the hell?” Fred muttered speeding up his pace.

‘GO NOW!’ Ely growled at me making me run the rest of the way. I pushed my way through the crowd of people only for my gaze to fall on the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life.

She had a slim waist with big hips, but not too big. Tanned and toned legs. Silver hair that was shining so bright under the fluorescent lights. Now she is standing face to… well chest with a big burly man who was staring cockily down at her with a look that I really didn’t like.

‘MATE!’ Ely roared in my head. ‘Go to her, claim her, another man is looking at her, go to…’ he was saying, agitated but got cut off from his rambling by that voice. A voice that could bring me to my knees

‘Damn! I just want to worship at her feet,’ I thought

“Care to repeat that?” she said c*****g her head at him.

“Are you th.......” Not getting to finish his sentence because of this tiny woman slamming her fist into his face.

‘HOT f*****g DAMN’ I said to myself feeling my c**k twitch in my jeans.

‘Mate is strong and very sexy’ I could hear the lust in Ely’s voice.

After connecting she looked as if she just got a huge surge of power making the giant man fly backwards. I saw the shock on her face for a brief second before she masked it. I heard a chuckle coming from the side causing everyone attention to snap in that direction.

“AND YOU......” She screamed looking so furious.

“She’s kinda scary man. Is that really your mate?” I heard Fred say through the mind link not wanting her attention on him. This made me chuckle quietly and my eyes sparkle with pride while trying to control my lusty thoughts and my very hard c**k that was straining against my pants
