As I parked up a few of my things, I looked at the calendar, I was three weeks late, for my menstruation, yet I never seemed to notice before, that explained my abdominal pain, breast tenderness and the agitation.
Whispers came from my door way, muffled conversations. I sat on the tiny metallic bed with a small suitcase case on the sides.
“What should I do?” Was the question in my mind, I contemplated on how to get away from the church, who to turn to. Maybe he was forced to say all that on the interview, maybe he was in danger considering his role.
My heart skipped a bit, Yes, he must have been in a tight position regarding how much enemies he’d had, may be he needed me. The long lost smile returned for a while, he needed me, he told me that himself, my heart skipped with joy as I imagined how he will hug me and tell me he is sorry for everything. I will tell him about the tiny seed growing in my stomach and finally, we will be the family we deserve.
I quickly jumped from the metallic bed leaving the springs creaking, I carried my tiny bag, I looked once again at the tiny that I once thought was going to be my home, a flash memory of how excited I was after my vows and then getting the room.
I sighed loudly, then I looked at the black woolen robes, I’d worked so hard to get it, I turned at once while in casual clothes and headed for the door, I heard tiptoes and whispers. I stepped out, I was met by one nun, obviously, the one who always wanted to be me so badly. Sr. Isolde.
Her striking cold aura made one shiver as soon as she approached you. She stood in front of me, with a wide evil grin plastered on her face. Her deep blue eyes stared deep in my soul.
“So, it is true, ain’t it?” She asked while her gaze fiercely scanned my whole body.
I stood there staring at her. I wanted to pull off her veil and expose how evil and sinful she was, I scoffed.
“Move,” I pushed through them.
“Where to in such a rush, hmm? To that evil hot bastard? Huh,” She asked while mimicking a child’s voice as thou she wanted to cry. I stopped in my tracks.
I turned and looked at her arrogant face.
With the same exact demeaning look.
I scanned her as thou looking for something but couldn’t find it in her quite rotten facade.
“Whatever,” I mumbled as I turned while yearning to go away to meet my Adonis.
“Unfortunately the evil bastard does not want a ….” She fell silent for a while, as thou looking for the correct word.
“ a desperate ugly sloth,” she finally blurted out, I aggressively turned to her, without even catching my breath, I felt my blood boil with anger and rage,.
“Well, FYO, that evil bastard is going to make me his wife and I shall give him children, we will become the small family we’ve always wanted while you, Rot away behind these barricade walls, lonely, and touching your self, FOREVER,” I said without catching my breath, I loved how I’d come up with the most suitable answer. I was proud, yet Isolde’s face didn’t flicker with anger or sadness.
I wanted to see her angry, yet she stood there looking at me as thou I was some sort of fool. She then looked at her nails.
“Well, but Ofcourse, we all know that that man don’t want you, or your dumb kids,” she scoffed. She walked back to her room. How dare she say that to me. I was livid at her.
“He wants me, he told me.” I muttered while trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to pour as she passed by me while humming like she didn’t just hurt me.
She stopped in her tracks and turned to me silently, she looked it me in a pitiful way.
“I am pretty sure he did, in order to get under your undies, now that he is done, I am pretty certain that he is curled up with another lady somewhere else.” She muttered. She was obviously jealous of me, yet time on the other hand wasn’t something I could control .
I scoffed, turned and went on my way.
“ You will see,” she yelled behind me as if she was certain of what she was saying. I raised my middle finger at the back of my head and waved it to her. I walked out of the monastery as everyone stared at me, their burning gazes on my back.
Immediately I stepped foot outside of the monastery, a storm of reporters quickly swarmed me.
“We are here with Lucy White…” one stated.
“Tell us, is it true or Ai,” another asked. Then the buzz went on, their cameras pointed at me, their microphones almost being shoved inside my mouth.
I turned, and silently squeezed through them, I ran through the nearby alley, while they ran behind me.
I was far from them, so they gave up, I opened my suit case and pulled up a tiny shoal , then I covered my head. I quickly proceeded down the alley.
I walked till I saw his gigantic mansion in sight.
My heart raced immediately, we were finally going to be together.
Butterflies filled my stomach , soon I could see his car parked in front of his villa, but as I walked closer , the car moved, it wiggled up and down.
Then I heard a woman’s moan, then his groan, I walked to the window, I saw him with a beauty stricken lady, I’d seen her before, yet I couldn’t remember where, in the magazine, a model, I remembered . Charlotte was her name.
My heart dropped instantly, it broke in a thousand pieces, ohh how my heart had broken many times that day.
I clutched tightly on my tiny suitcase, I felt betrayed, a lot formed in my stomach. My eyes stung from the horrific sight. It felt painful for Isolde to win.
They curled up into each other, she sat on him, his pants pulled all the way down. He turned and looked at me , he stared in my eyes, I thought he would stop, but he didn’t, he groaned louder as tho he enjoyed everything he’d done, he loved tormenting me, tears fell from my eyes, then more, and more, their moans and groans tormented me as they got louder, I felt helpless, my whole body felt weak, the world felt hazy in that moment.
He’d betrayed me, I slowly turned away from his car, walked back to where I’d come from, I had no where to go, no relatives to turn too, no roof over me, no food to eat, I walked aimlessly, until I stopped behind the monastery.
I sat on the small veranda of the building, it was cold but I seemed not to realize, the sunny weather immediately became gloomy, it started pouring torrents, I shivered in the cold, I did not care about the people who looked at me and whispered as they walked down the street, all I did was cry until I did not realize that it was already dark, I’d slept off amidst crying on the cold veranda.
I was jolted back from my sleep by three men who torched my face and whispered.
“ It’s really her.” One of them whispered.
“You fool, you’ve woken her up.” One whispered as I sat up and rubbed my hazy eyes, the light shone bright in my eyes causing my vision to be blurred.
“ You are that girl from the clip,” one man said.
“ Leave me alone,” I said as I got up attempting to leave.
“ Hey don’t go sweetie, we just want to play,” one blocked my way, the wind carried his nasty scent which reeked of alcohol and urine.
“Yes,” another muttered as he gripped my hand.
“Let go of me you bastards,” I struggled to get out of their grips, then the torch turned off,
“ Shush ,” another muttered as his knife shone under the light and nearer to my abdomen.
“Easy , easy tiger, we just want to have our fun, when we are done, we will go, but if you don’t comply with us,” his dark stature shifted to the knife held on my abdomen. I held my breath, tears ran down my pale face.
Then they giggled when I stopped fighting.
Then one of the hands went all over my body, tears fell from my eyes. Then he touched my undies and moaned. I heard his belt unbuckle quickly.
“Hold her tightly,” the man said, his bad breath muskier than the trenches that carried poop, it smelled like he’d never brushed for decades.
