Chapter 23
Jake's POV
I stared out at all of the men and women who were training on the field. Everyone was sloppy today and it was pissing me off.
"Stop!" I yelled. Everyone turned my way, a few wincing when they saw my glare. "All of your stances are slouched and none of you are giving it your all! What is wrong with all of you people?" A few people glared at me until I glared back. Eventually everyone looked down in shame except for one.
I stared into Josh's dark brown eyes which also held shame but the worry in his eyes pushed the shame back. I felt my shoulders slack.
"Take a break everyone. And when you come back I expect better." They all nodded and walked off. Josh walked forward without breaking eye contact. I looked away.
"Jake," his voice was soft as always. "What's wrong?
