Taking care of the paperwork for this was going to be a nightmare, even more so dealing with the emotional fallout. Still, knowing that everything was going to be okay bouyed me forward. Sophie was alive and while the doctors didn't know when she would wake, it seemed that her wolf was fighting, a good sign and one that generally meant a werewolf would survive. Out mate was strong.
Walking into the hospital room I remembered that Angela had been injured as well. She had tried so hard to keep our mate safe and had almost lost her life in the process. We were really blessed to have such a dedicated guard for our mate and I couldn't help but wish she hadn't been hurt at all.
