When I woke up, Adrik was gone. A part of me was sad. I wanted to wake up next to him but I kicked the thought away. He probably has a lot to do.
I needed to see Kaela. I poked my head out of the door. None of the security men was outside. I ran down the hallway and to Kaelas room.
As soon as the door opened and Kaela saw me, she ran into my arms. I lifted her and peppered kisses all over her face.
“You finally woke up”Ksenia said with a grin.
“I was exhausted”
“I’m sure you were” she giggled.
“Mama is it true you did some super big exercise yesterday and that’s why you couldn’t come to me at night?” She asked innocently.
I glared at Ksenia who was trying to hold back a laugh.
“Yes love. Mama had to work really hard yesterday. That’s why I couldn’t come” I set her down in her feet.
