The first thing on my mind when I gained consciousness was Adrik. I tried to move but my stomach hurt.
"Lay down" Githa said gently.
"I need to find Adrik"
"You need to rest Maia" but I wasn't listening to her. I was already standing up. The room looked unfamiliar and when I stepped out of the room it was worse.
"Where is he?"
"Maia...."
"Githa please it's important"
"I'll take you to him" she held my hands and led me down the stairs and to another room.
Adrik and his men were seated around a table talking but stopped when I opened the door. He stood up and walked to me.
“What is it Maia? You’re supposed to be resting”
“I have to talk to you”
“Not now Maia”
