ADRIKS POV
I parted from Maia unwillingly but I needed to do something important. I couldn’t wait to get back to her though.
I opened the door to mothers room and entered inside.
“Adrik” she said in excitement when she saw me. She was sitting up in bed, a book in her hand.
“You’re reading?”
“Trying to. The words get blurry and I keep having a headache from trying to concentrate” I hate to bring all this drama to her while she was trying to recover.
I sat by her bedside and took her hands. I was going to ease into this.
