Prologue
Long ago, in the kingdom of Eldrith, a crown was forged—one of unimaginable power. Crafted from silver and obsidian, it was said to command the elements, bend time, and grant its wearer dominion over the land. Yet, with great power came a terrible price. The Curse of Veyra, an ancient and malevolent force, bound itself to the crown, cursing all who dared to wear it. The last king of Eldrith, driven mad by its influence, perished alongside his people when the curse finally consumed the kingdom.
Eldrith fell into ruin, its once-proud banners reduced to tattered remnants, its cities left in ash and stone. The crown disappeared, lost to the ages, its existence nothing more than a whispered legend. And yet, as centuries passed, the rumors began once again to stir.
In a distant land, Kael of Valmere, a young man with a lineage as shadowed as the crown itself, is chosen by fate. His father’s dying words echo in his mind: Find the crown, Kael. Do not let history repeat itself.
But Kael’s journey will not be simple. The curse that once ravaged Eldrith still lingers, and with it, enemies who will stop at nothing to claim the crown for their own. The power it bestows is both a blessing and a burden, and Kael must decide whether to succumb to its pull or defy it and become the protector of what remains of Eldrith.
With danger at every turn and allies who may not be what they seem, Kael must learn to wield the power of the crown—or risk becoming its next victim.
