“Senator Gallagher, it’s so nice to meet you.” Sophie Lowry was a bundle of energy. Michael had worked with a lot of reporters before, but they were mainly local reporters: politics beat reporters with the Omaha World-Herald, Capitol reporters with the Lincoln Journal-Star, and 6 o’clock news reporters with local television stations. Lowry was something else. Every question was followed by another question, which then was a lead-in to a new question.
