“What kind of thing do you think would be worth him clawing his way into a second term for?” Sophie asked him. “I don’t know,” Michael said, “if I had to guess, he’s going to use this sort of thing to get reelected, then he is going to cruise for four years, maybe win a little pork for his district, then retire and spend the rest of his days as a calm Mr. Grand Island.
