Michael peddled hard, zooming past trees on either side and daring his legs to move as fast as they could. He knew Jane was right on his tail, and he also knew that she biked a lot more than he did, so he was not going to keep this lead up for long. Sure enough, Jane started to gain on him, closing the gap, determination on her face paired with a smirk.
