Chapter 6

(Carolina's POV) I recalled Lucy's warning that I shouldn't reveal my name to anyone at the hotel, so I replied, "My name is Joy." "Joy who?" Bright asked, taking a step closer to me. I perceived his masculine breath and sensed that he was drunk, so I stepped backward. "My name is Joy Joy. Why do you want to know my full name?" I asked him, wondering if he was truly the CEO of the Blues Hotel or if Mr. Karen just knew him. Bright smiled and replied, "Nothing. I just want to know your name. Are you going home? Come, let me give you a ride." He offered, but I shook my head. "No. I do not follow strangers," I replied, and he smiled handsomely as my cheeks turned scarlet. "I know. I do not entertain strangers either. But since you are already leaving my hotel, that's why I'm offering you help. It's fine if you do not trust me. Take care," Bright said as he accepted his black coat from my hand and turned to leave. "Wait..." I chased after him, thinking he wasn't bad after all. He had helped me stand up against Mr. Karen, who had treated me poorly. "What's it? Did you suddenly change your mind?" Bright asked in an alluring voice as he turned to look at my face. My face turned red in embarrassment as his intense brown eyes locked on mine. "Um, maybe. But I do not have a home. I'm going to my friend's house," I said as I approached him. Bright began to walk toward the parking area of the club. "How about your parents?" Bright queried in his magnetic voice as he walked toward the parking lot. I saw two masculine men in black following behind us and swiftly turned to look at them, screaming, "Why are you following us?" The two security men paused but didn't walk away. "Oh, they are my men," Bright said, and my cheeks flushed in embarrassment again. "Your men? Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't know," I mumbled, guessing he was a big shot. "It's fine. Get into my car," Bright said as he remotely unlocked the black Lamborghini parked there. I was stunned that he was truly the owner, offering me a ride in a Lamborghini. I had never sat in one before. "Sir, you don't have to take me home. I'll walk," I said, afraid of him now that I had lost my job. But how could I sit in a Lamborghini? I didn't want trouble tonight. "Do you still feel afraid of me? It's late, and with you looking this beautiful, I cannot say what will happen once you cross the gate. Do you want another man to chase after you?" Bright asked, his eyes watching me intensely. I flushed scarlet again. "You're right," I agreed, internally scolding myself as I bit my bottom lip, feeling his eyes on my chest. "Alright, you can drop me off," I accepted Bright's offer, looking at his face and seeing him smile handsomely. "Alright. Get in," he said, pulling the car door open. I hopped into the front passenger seat, wondering why he didn't have a driver at this time of night. Bright shut the car door, walked around to the driver's side, and got in. He looked at me as he fastened his seat belt. "You look beautiful, miss. Or do you mind spending the night with me?" Bright asked. My eyes widened in surprise. *Are all men like this? Always looking for a woman to spend the night with?* "Listen, I do not mean to scare you. But I'm just a little down and need a distraction. I'll pay you. You do not have to worry about me chasing after you or you coming to look for me. It's a one-night thing," he said, his eyes pinned on my face with desire. I looked at his handsome face and asked, "Why me? You barely know me." "Just a night. Name your price," Bright said, taking out a cigarette to smoke in his car. I looked at him in shock. "Hey, Mr., no smoking in the car," I reminded him, and he laughed. "Fine." He extinguished the lighter and put it away. "What do you say?" he asked once more. "How much do you want to pay me? I'm not a prostitute, but since you're asking politely, I'll consider your offer," I said, and he shrugged. "1 million." He offered, and I frowned. *Is this a repercussion of rejecting the other man's offer?* "2 million, 3 million, 4 million—name your worth," Bright offered, his voice serious. My jaw dropped. "What? 4 million just to have s*x with me?" I asked in shock, and his eyes narrowed. "Yeah. What's wrong? Isn't that what all women want? Money and no love? Or should I say, you want a child too?" He asked painfully, and I looked at his sad face. "A child? No... I'm still jobless, so why should I want a child now? Fine. I accept your offer," I mumbled, and he nodded. "That's fine. I'll take you to my house so we can keep it low. If anyone sees us together at a hotel, they'll report me to the media, and I do not want that scandal," he said before starting the car. I sat in the front passenger seat silently, watching the road as he drove to his house. I was surprised as he arrived at an impressive mansion. The security man unlocked the gate and welcomed him. Driving the black Lamborghini into the beautiful yard, Bright parked and reminded me, "Only for tonight." "Alright," I said, lowering my head and following him out of the car and into the house. A butler walked up to welcome us. "Welcome, boss." "Thanks, Joel. You're dismissed for tonight," Bright told the middle-aged man before looking at me and holding my hand. Then he led me to a room on the first floor. "Is this your room?" I asked as I saw him taking off his shirt. "No. Why do you need my room?" He asked, taking steps toward me. My back got pinned to the wall, and I smiled and replied, "Nothing." "Mm," Bright said, standing in front of me. Before I could say anything, he reached for my chin and kissed my lips passionately. Before I could process what was happening, he carried me like I weighed nothing. Placing me carefully on the bed, he towered above me and reached to undress me. "Sir, you didn't bring any condom?" I asked shyly. "Why? I'm impotent, so you do not have to feel scared," he said, kissing my lips again. "But—" I started to refuse, and he said, "I have no infection. And if anyone's worried about health, it should be me because I do not know you or what you do." "I'm a virgin," I told him, and he stiffened and got off me despite his intoxicated state. His lips tasted so sweet; I could feel the alcohol fragrance on mine. It made me aroused, and I looked at him with intense longing. "You're a virgin. It's all a misunderstanding then. I thought you did hookups," he said, moving to climb down from the bed. But I stopped him. "Please, sir. I need the money," I begged, but he refused. "No. I'll ask my driver to take you back." He attempted to walk away, but I rushed to hug his waist. "Please, I can do anything you want," I hugged him firmly and instinctively reached to touch his crotch. He stiffened and grabbed my hand away. "What are you doing?" he asked, turning to look at me. But I wouldn't give up.
