Chapter 19: marking

I'm alone when I wake up and I can't help but miss his presence. I stare at the wall for a couple of minutes thinking about my life choices before counting to three and hauling myself up to the bathroom. I shower and dress and head down for breakfast. 

"Finally!" Ben yells as I sit down. "Milly hasn't shut up for an hour." 

"It's not my fault I'm so excited!" Milly wiggles in her chair as she shovels bacon into her mouth.

"What on earth are you talking about?"

"WE'RE GOING SHOPPING! WITH KADE'S CREDIT CARD!" 

Oh dear sweet baby Jesus kill me now.

"You have got to be kidding me" I groan. I f*****g hate shopping.

"Nope. You need a Luna dress and Kade's busy so you're all ours" she grins evilly with her chin on her hands. 

Kade and I finally talked about the Luna thing last night and I told him I want to do it. It's scary to think about but I think I can handle it. Plus I don't fully understand this mate thing but the thought of my life without Kade tears me apart. Seriously, what have I become?

He was so happy when I told him I thought he was about to take off and leap around the room. God he's so adorable.

SEE? I used to laugh at clingy girlfriends but look who's laughing now!

Kade also told me about marking last night which freaked me the f**k out. I was in shock he was gonna bite me but then he explained it's supposed to be the best feeling in the world and now I can't get it off my mind.

Wolves are weird.

"Okay be ready in 15 and do not be late" Milly springs up and points a finger at me before dashing out the room.

"She has too much energy for this time in the morning" Ben mutters.

"Says the person that literally hurls objects at my head on the daily" I laugh, poking him. We banter some more as I shovel down a bowl of cereal and chug some coffee. I grab my purse and phone and meet Milly outside. She beeps the horn of her baby blue fiat 500 and I panic. I love Milly but crikey I do not trust her behind the wheel.

"Get in loser we're going shopping!" She laughs at her reference.

"Touche" I mutter as I climb in reluctantly, fastening my seat belt and praying a short goodbye prayer as we pull out of the driveway.

I was right. Milly drives like a f*****g maniac.

"No f**k you you arrogant bastard! Did you see that? He totally cut me off" She screams in full on rage. 

I'm very afraid right now so I keep the fact she ran a red light to myself.

We finally arrive at the shopping centre and I let my lungs fill with oxygen. I can't get out the car quick enough as I admire her parking. It's amazingly bad, she's somehow filling 3 spaces. Luckily it's dead empty so nobody cares.

We try and find a dress first which proves harder then I thought. From Milly's brief we're essentially looking for a wedding dress. After looking in the fifth shop, my eyes land upon a simple white maxi dress. It has a sweetheart neckline with thin spaghetti straps and the skirt flows from the waist, stopping just above the ankles with a long slit up on side. 

I try it on and it fits perfectly, framing my cleavage and hugging my curves flatteringly. 

"b***h. That's the one" Milly squeals as she walks in. 

We buy the dress along with a pair of silver heels which hurt my feet looking at them and I am very glad to be leaving when we eventually do.

Milly drags me into various clothes shops so she can buy clothes for herself. I help her but don't buy anything for myself, already feeling bad about Kade paying for the dress. 

Before we leave Milly insists we go to victoria secrets which I seriously resist but lose. I follow after her as she picks up various pieces, smirking. 

"What about these?" She hold up a set which is pretty much see through.

"Well Alex will love it" I laugh. Alex is Milly's mate. He's like the chillest dude ever and I always wonder how they work but I guess opposites attract.

She blushes between giggles. "Ooh will you please try this on?" She hands me a lilac lacy set. It really is beautiful but i hesitate, suddenly self conscious. "Oh come on you know Kade will love it" I blush even redder and snatch the set from her. 

"Oh and this one! She hands me a set in a dark red with black lace trim. We try them on and I gasp at my reflection in the mirror. The lilac material really suits my skin tone. To be honest I look kinda hot. 

The red set is really nice as well. I prefer the shape of of the other one but this one is very very sexy. Only wanting to buy one, I ponder before taking a picture of my reflection in both and quickly texting Kade asking which one he prefers. 

Seconds pass before my phone starts to ring. It's Kade. That's odd, why is he calling me?

"Hello?" I answer. I hear heavy breathing on the other end.

"Get home. Right now" his husky voice growls into the phone. "And buy both." He hangs up and I gulp. That was hot as f**k.

We pay for the underwear and head back to the car with all our bags. Needless to say Milly bought everything she tried on. 

I try not to claw at the door for freedom on the drive back and mercifully the roads are clear so the journey is short and there's less risk of ending a family of 4's life.

When we pull up outside the pack house Kade is stood pacing outside in a Black shirt that hugs his abs and basketball shorts. His head snaps towards us as we pull up and within seconds he's opened the door and I'm thrown over his shoulder. He heads straight to our room and I'm reminded of the first time we met. To be honest there's worse positions to be in, his back muscles look amazing from this angle as they flex underneath me.

As soon as we're in our room he gently puts me down on the ground and pushes me up against the wall, pulling my wrists above my head with one hand as his other finds my waist as our lips meet in a frantic kiss, his lips moving aggressively against mine. I moan at the force behind it. It hurts a little but it's a good pain and I can't get enough. He pulls away and moves to my neck, planting open mouth kisses down my neck to the place where he would mark me making me moan out in pleasure.

"I missed you" Kade groans in between kisses.

"I missed you too" I feel him smile against my skin as pulls away slightly. I whimper at the loss of contact. 

"You know, you're lucky I was alone when you sent those photos" he whispers against my ear, his minty breath fanning my face. "I nearly lost control of Dex. You just looked so f*****g hot" he kisses a spot behind my neck making my knees give in. Thank god he's pinning me up against the wall or I'd be in a puddle of the floor. 

His lips find me and our tongues find each other instantly, fighting for dominance. My hands slip under the hem of his shirt, tracing his well defined abs and he groans under my touch. He looks at me with pitch black eyes.

"I want to mark you so bad little one." My heart rate rockets as I stare at him.

"Then what are you waiting for?" 

He groans again and kisses my neck, graving his elongated canines against the soft skin. The sensation sends shivers through me straight between my legs. He pauses over a particular spot, ready to bite.

"Are you sure princess?"

"Y-yes" I gasp and inhale sharply as I feel his sharp canines bite down. The pain is excruciating for a split second before pure pleasure cascades through me, making me wrap my arms around Kade for support. A loud moan escapes me as the blissful feeling rocks through me. He retracts his canines when the pleasure subsides and licks the wound to close it.

"Mine" he growls in my ear.

"Yours."
