Chapter Six - The Encounter

684 Words
A noise she couldn't quite put her finger on woke Fae up. She shifted to get comfortable, hearing the noise again she looked up towards the deck and met the eyes of the biggest black dog she had ever seen, no, wolf she had ever seen. She stared at it with amazement. It wasn't Sam, Fae had seen her wolf before and this one was bigger - a lot bigger. Fae sat up slowly not taking her eyes off the beast in front of her. Her brain was telling her to scream to run.. but something else, something she had never felt before made her feel calm and almost.. drawn to the wolf. She got up and walked over to it. The wolf shifted on it's paws. It looks almost.. anxious she thought to herself. As she got closer she could see the wolfs eyes shifting between human and wolf. When the eyes were human the wolf would try and snarl and turn away but when the eyes were dark the wolf would whine and stick his nose towards her. Without thinking Fae closed the distance between them and before the wolf had a chance to back away she grabbed its huge head in her hands. Bringing the beasts head towards her she gave it a peck on the forehead. The wolf went quiet and relaxed in her hands before snatching it's head away, jumping the hedge and running off into the forest. Faes legs buckled underneath her and she sunk to the ground. She wanted to call out for the wolf to come back, she felt so alone since it left. What were you thinking Fae Ann Watson! That could of ended so badly.  I wonder who that was, maybe a pack warrior checking in on me? After deciding to ask Sam about it in the morning, Fae got up and made her way to bed. Leaving the door open in the hopes her  visitor would come back.                                            *                                               *                                                    * "I can't believe you, Hades. I trusted you"  Tyler snarled at his wolf, it did not get the reaction he wanted, Hades was beside himself with happiness. Tyler she wasn't scared, she accepts us. She KISSED us. "No, she kissed you and she should of been scared - I'd have ripped her head off if it wasn't for you and your love drunk self"  Hades let out a fierce growl at the thought of his mate being hurt and ran harder, he would make sure Tylers body was sore the next day for speaking about their mate that way. Once they got to the pack house Hades shifted back and Tyler put his clothes back on. He felt disgusted and betrayed at his own wolf. They had been together since he turned 18 and was under the impression their stance on humans where the same. But she isn't just a human, she is our mate. Hades grinned. "She is no mate of mine. If she knew anything about how this worked I would reject her right now. Seeing as she is just a human, we will go about our daily lives. Perhaps get a chosen mate from a neighbouring pack"  Tyler nodded at his decision. Hades would get over it and would soon be happy with a chosen mate.  Turning the shower on, Tyler stripped and stepped in to a stream of hot water. Hoping this would help his aching muscles after the run he crossed his arms and rested them on the wall, and his head on his arms. Enjoying the hot water hitting his back and running down his body. He could feel Hades was upset with him and had blocked himself off from Tyler. Tyler didn't care, he relaxed and let his mind wonder.  Her soft hands cradling his face those big beautiful brown eyes staring straight into his soul and those lips he wandered what they would feel like all over his body.. Tyler stood up with a jerk. He groaned as he felt how erect he was thinking about her. This might be harder than I thought..
