♠Mira♠ I stared at the PT for the third time, trying to be certain that I wasn't seeing things. “Oh my goodness _” I muttered under my breath, smiling to myself as I walked out of the bathroom. “I'm preg…. pregnant?” I don't know if I was asking myself or just being excited but I know I had a wide smile on my face. I moved towards the wardrobe and picked my robe, wrapping it tightly around myself. My bed had been empty and cold last night, Elias didn't come to bed. A sharp slice of pain cut through my heart as I swallowed the lump forming in my throat. It was and has always been a loveless marriage. I almost bumped into a maid and she muttered a little sorry under her breath before walking briskly away. The joy in my heart was about to burst but when I got to his home office,the door was locked. A frown marred my face. “Where's the alpha?” I asked, walking into the kitchen to meet one of the maid cooking. She wiped her hands on her apron and walked over to me,her eyes darting between my position and the stairway. “The first floor. He went there last night, said he had something to do in the Arctic and shouldn't be disturbed.” I frowned again and without waiting,I made my way towards the old stairs leading to the first floor. “The Arctic?” I muttered under my breath as I scoffed. What could be so important he…. “Oh,f**k…yeah….. that's it.” I froze and for a moment I forgot what I was coming to do. That voice….. “You like that? Huh?” A smack followed,then a giggle. “f**k!” Another smack. “You're so tight.” Another smack. I pushed the door open and my fear was justified. Elias and my mother, Morgana! Tears pooled in my eyes,my throat was clogged and my feet refused to move. They didn't scramble to put on their clothes, instead they looked me dead in the eyes while he continued to thrust in and out of her. “What is going on here? What is happening!” I asked,too numb to make a fuss. Of course,what was I thinking? Elias was the alpha and I was just a mistake called his wife and Luna so no one would think of coming if I made a fuss. “We've been married for ten years yet you've got nothing to show for it.” Elias fired at me as a recoiling pain settled in my chest. “You're cruel!” I whispered , staring at him. “My own mother? It couldn't be someone else?” I yelled this time,the pregnancy test fell down. Morgana's eyes followed it and I could see the shock register on her face. “You're wolfless, you're twenty nine already without a wolf, without a child and without a tangible input to my clan.” He said it with so much bitterness. “So yes you're the reason I cheated.” Morgana purred,her juice pouring out more and more,the sight almost made me puke. “Bastard!” I muttered under my breath. “Is that what I think it is?” Morgana asked, finally getting off the bed and wrapping a robe around her body. She bent down and picked the test, smirking evilly. I felt a cold shiver run down my spine and for a moment,she felt like a stranger to me. “You're a slut!” I spat at her and that earned me a slap from Elias. He was standing in front of me now,his eyes blazing with anger. “What did you say?” Huh?” He asked, grabbing my neck and holding me in chokehold. “You're pregnant huh?” He asked as I struggled to breathe, wondering what would happen if he eventually choked me to death. My whole life flashed before my eyes. No one would say anything. Not even my parents. They both believe I'm cursed,a wolfless daughter and Luna. “We're going to run a test on you with the help of the healer,I doubt you're pregnant.” My heart shattered inside of me at his statement. He didn't believe me,not even for a second. “Is that all you have to say after all these? No apologies,for f***s sake I just told you I'm _” “You're what? Pregnant?” Morgana fired, walking towards me like she would hit me. I braced myself for it but she didn't. “Like he said…” she purred, wrapping her arms around him and a sigh of relief escaped his lips. “We'll run a test, it shouldn't be negative sweetheart. Or else you'll regret it.” I didn't wait for their bullshit anymore,I stormed out and ignored all the greetings from the workers till I got to my room. Tears poured heavily down my cheeks, my sobs filled the room and I didn't bother standing up from the floor. I don't know how long I've been on the floor but the next moment,a knock came through the door. I scrambled to my feet, wiping my face and putting on a polite smile then I opened the door. “Your presence is needed right now at the execution hall.” The sentinel said as my head spun around. I almost lost my balance but he was there to hold me quickly. “Are you okay?” He asked and I nodded. “Yeah,I am.” There's only one reason why I'd be invited to the execution hall and it'll be to dish out a great punishment if the test comes out negative. It made me wonder what my mother was up to,with her recent lover. Elias. The name left a bitter taste on my tongue but I shoved it down my throat and followed the sentinel. I saw Elias sitting with my mother at the head of the panel. She was on my seat and when we locked eyes,she smiled. “We're all here because our wolfless Luna decided to prank me this morning with a fake pregnancy test.” Elias began and the whole hall went into a frenzy. “Our healer is here, we'll get the truth in a matter of minutes.” He continued and the crowd became silent. My heart hammered in my chest as I climbed the examination table. The healer sprayed some herbs on me and after a while, something heavy hit my head. “Liar.” Elias screamed. I opened my eyes to see the healers test result glaring at me. It was negative. “As we all know there's punishment for every crime and offensive act.” Elias began. “For this, she'll be burned alive!”
