SAMUEL POV
"I know I made a mistake. I shouldn't have shouted at Lexi like that. I wasn't on my mind that night. After you went, I had another nightmare. This time it was Bethany. I'm a little afraid right now. What if something happens to her? I will have to live my life in resentment forever." I looked up at him and said, "You stay beside Lexi, Godwin. She will worry a lot if she knows about the dream. I have things to get done. See you around noon," I ended my conversation with Godwin and left the place. I felt a little guilt for scolding Lexi yesterday night. "I hope Lexi won't be mad at me," I said to myself and went straight to the mountains.
FLASHBACK YESTERDAY NIGHT
THIRD PERSON POV
Samuel went to a bar after a conversation with Lexi. He went to the counter and ordered his drinks. There he saw the man who attacked him the other day. That man realized Sam is looking at him. He moved from his place and made his way straight to Sam. "Remember me?" he asked and sat beside Sam. "Of course I do. Wanna have a deal with me?" he asked the man with a smirk on his face. The man was taken back but soon gave in. "What's the deal?" he asked. "Remember the deal I said the other day? I give you all these rubies, but you have to tell me information about the Master. One ruby, one info. Deal?" Sam explained well to the man. The man took ruby from Sam's hand and said, "Go to the mountains tomorrow. If you come back alive, I tell you more. See you, buddy." The man left the place. Sam decided to go to the mountain tomorrow morning.
SAMUEL POV
I arrived at the mountain's base. "It's high. Anyways, today I can solve a part of the mystery. You can do it, Sam. Let's go." I said to myself and went around the mountain base. A few steps later, I saw a bush and moved closer to it. "It looks like the entrance. Wait!? Does this mean there is a cave here? That too at the bottom of a mountain? Whatever, I need to find a way to get in. Or, shall we move around a little?" I asked myself and kept moving around there. It was like 5 minutes, and I found another bush near the river bank. I went through my hand into it, and there was nothing. I went back to the entrance and tried to push the rock door. Surprisingly, it worked. "s**t! I wasted my time on this. I can't believe myself, Oh ma god!" I facepalmed myself and went in. The place was filled with lights and had many things hanging on the wall. I saw rubies at the table there. The rubies were arranged nicely and looked so neat. What was the difference was the colors of the rubies. One row had blue rubies one row was green, and many more colors. I looked around the place again. I saw a cabinet in the corner of the place. I moved towards it but stopped on my track as I heard footsteps. I moved to the other corner as it was a little dark. I covered myself with the fabric that was hanging. A masked man came in, followed by Bethany. I opened my mouth in surprise. I stopped moving and tried to listen to their conversation. But I heard nothing. Suddenly, they stopped talking and turned in my direction. The masked man asked, "did anyone entered this place while I was away?" Bethany shooked her head. "I hope too. Remember what will happen if a stranger enters this place? If you bring them in, do you know what will happen?" He asked her. It almost looked threatening. "I know, Master. You don't have to worry about things like this all," she said and looked in my direction. I felt something is wrong. The masked man left the place after getting what he wants. Bethany came in again and removed the fabric away from me. "Hi, Bethany!" I said. But I didn't see that was coming.
