SAMUEL POV "Hi, Bethany!" I said. But I didn't see that was coming. The wall that I was leaning in started to move closer to me. "Faster! We have to leave this place!" Bethany said and pulled me out from there. The moment we came out, I realized I'm at a different place. I have never been there before. Bethany let go of my hand and stood in front of me. From her arm, she made a shield and guarded me. I saw up in the sky rocks flying in the air. "What!? Rocks!? In the air!? Is this a magic world?" I thought to myself. "This is not a magic world, Sam! You entered the wrong place! Now you are facing the consequences of it! Who told you to enter the mountain's base house?" She shouted through the loud noise. "House? Do you call it a house? It looked more like a garbage garage!" I shouted back at her. "Stop screaming, Sam! This attack will end soon! Hold on until then!" I closed my eyes tightly and waited for the attack to end. After a few moments, I heard no sound. I looked up, and Bethany was gone. Surprisingly, I was in the market. I looked at the crowd and tried to process everything that could have happened. After a few minutes into the thoughts, I moved from there. I went back home to say what I saw. I entered the living room and noticed it was quiet. Then I heard a lady's voice talking. "Fortune-teller? Why she came here at this time?" I asked myself. "You can come in, Samuel. Then we can have a conversation with you as well." I walked in and saw everyone standing with a serious look on their face. "Where did you go, Sam?" Godwin asked me. "I went out to get some fresh air. Why?" I said. "No problem, Sam. By the way, where are the rubies, Sam?" "One minute, please." I went to the room and went through my backpack. But I couldn't find them. "Did you missed it somewhere?" Lexi came in and asked. I looked behind her. Godwin stood leaning on the door. He had the pouch. "What is this, Godwin? If you have them, why are you asking me?" I asked him. "Just wanted to pull a prank on you. But, I gave you five rubies now it has only four in it. Where did the one ruby go?" "Ah, that one. Come, I explain to you." I dragged Godwin into the bedroom and closed the door. I explained everything to him. "Look. I found this at the place. I don't know what this is, but we might find something if we take this to the kingdom, we can ask the man about this." I showed him the closed round glass. "First, hide this. They shouldn't know about this, including Bethany. Keep this in a secret place." Godwin said. We came out of the room. ALEXIA POV They both stayed inside for a long time. "Do you have any idea about what Godwin and Samuel will be talking about?" I shook my head. "Whatever it is, I don't want to know about that. Once they come out, I'm leaving from here. I have nothing to do with them." The fortune-teller looked at me in disbelief. "Why are you saying so? Don't you remember what I said? You have to stay beside Godwin to help him stay alive. If not, you should die of your own will. That way, you can stop the incarnation. Will you please stop talking about this incarnation!? I'm so sick about this! Did you forget? Even if I help Godwin to stay alive, either Sam or Bethany needs to die! Do you think I will be happy if they die?" The fortune-teller moved closer to me. "Come on, Alexia. We can win this one without losing anyone," she said. I removed her hand from my shoulder and said, "We can't. We are fated to do so. One has to die to save the rest. If I leave now, at least we can save someone." My talk interrupted when Godwin spoke. "We are going to lose no one. We have a plan. We can win this without losing anyone. So, don't worry." He said. "What's the plan?" I asked him. But he didn't answer. He looked at Sam; Sam looked at the fortune-teller. "If you don't mind, can you leave now? We are going out now." Sam said. "Hmm, sure. I was ready to leave anyway," she said and left the place. After the lady left, Sam came to me and said, "pack your things now, Lexi. We are leaving for the kingdom." I couldn't get a grasp of the situation. "Why now?" I asked them. "Stop asking questions and start moving now. We have found something to use. So, please, pack your things." Godwin said. It looked more like pleading. I didn't have any idea why they both doing this, but I have to trust them. That's the only way we all can survive. I packed my things, and we left for the port. We boarded the ship and waited for the helmsman to come. We were waiting for him for a few minutes, but he didn't come. Soon after, the lady fortune-teller ran to us. "You guys need to come with me! It's an emergency!" she screamed on top of her lungs. I was shocked at her shouting. "Calm down. What happened?" Godwin asked. "I don't know how to explain. Your sister is in danger! We have to save her! Please, hurry!" She said. As soon as she said that, Sam got down off the ship. "What happened to Bethany? Where is she now?" He asked. "Follow me. I'll show you the way!" The fortune-teller dragged Sam with her. Godwin and I followed them. When we reached the place, I regretted it most. The place gives off a creepy vibe. It looked like a burned house.
