After finishing her task and was currently heading back to their apartment, she was faced in another uncomfortable situation at that moment.

" Um, you know that there's a wide empty seat beside you right? so I was wondering why am I sitting at your lap right now? "

" Because from now on it was the reserve seat that is only for you to use, so better get used to it. "

He unreasonably said, that makes her irritated.

" Like hell i would get used to it. Let go of me and stop sniffing, are you a dog? "

" Well, werewolf is a close family of dogs so I guess I am? "

He admitted but it even makes her more angry.

D**n this possessiveness, Claire didn't mention that their kind possessiveness is over the top she thought while still struggling to free herself but then she stopped when she felt a huge bulge underneath her and she was aware of what it is. Sensing that she felt it, she felt that Zyx smiled in her back.

" Careful, you might wake up a sleeping beast. "

She felt shivers run all over her body and that's make her give up while blushing hard.

When they arrived in front of their apartment, she quickly got off of him and immediately got out of the car when someone opened it. She let out a sigh of relief from escaping that uncomfortable situation.

" Una? "

She heard a familiar voice and looked towards her left. Claire holding a plastic bag was standing not far from her with a questioning look on her face.

She was about to talk to her best friend but someone beat her to it.

" MATE? "

Someone declared in a wondering tone and her best friend was dead frozen where she was standing while looking at the person who declared it.

it was Felix, before they went to her company the group of men with Zyx introduced themselves and their position in their pack.

When Felix started to walk towards her best friend she was awoken from her thoughts when she saw her friend look on her face.

It was still not long when her best friend was rejected and the frightened look of being rejected once again was evident on her face.

She quickly runs in between Claire and Felix stopping Felix on getting even more closer to her best friend. Felix on the other side sensing the frightened look on his mate's face stop not too far away from them.

She noticed that Felix doesn't plan to get close anymore, faced her trembling best friend.

" Are you okay? Gosh, look at your pale face. Let's go inside first. "

she supported her best friend while they are heading inside.

Seeing his mate with her best friend head inside, he looked at his dead frozen Beta and walk towards him.

" What a turn of events were both having today. Me, finding my most awaited mate and you, finding out that you have a second chance mate. "

He heard his Beta chuckle understanding his point.

" I can agree with that. A human and a rogue, what a funny turn of event is this. "

They both laughed and he couldn't help but notice the changes in him, he just met his mate but it brought significant changes in him already and he couldn't help but to smile. while in his own thought he noticed the troubled look on his Betas face and he was aware of the reason why.

Two hundred years ago Felix first mate was killed by a group of rogues while strolling in the nearby lake in their territory and the devastated and excruciating pain was evident on his face when we found his mate with no clothes on, with hand marks around her body and slit mark on her neck that was still bleeding when they found her.

He thought that time he would lose his beta but one day his beta suddenly appeared in front of him while still grieving for his mate's death with a resolute and rage in his eyes and declared that he would uproot all the rogues who did that to his mate.

With that, he was thankful that Felix was still standing behind him and supporting him but Felix revenge was greatly delayed because of his wolf's uncontrollable rage but now it's really laughable that Felix finds out that he had a second chance mate and a rogue at that.

" So you're going to reject her? then I suggest that you do it now so that you won't hurt her feelings anymore. I think she's my mate's best friend that she mentioned and I don't want it to be the cause of a conflict between us."

He noticed that his Beta flinched when he mentioned the work reject and he smiled inside.

" And it's looked like she was afraid of you or maybe from us since she was a rogue so you better decide now wether you will reject her or accept her as your mate. Take your time. "

After saying that to his Beta he walked inside the apartment building to follow his mate.

She walk inside's Claire room with a cup of water in her hand then sat beside her best friend who was still trembling a little.

" Here, Drink this first to calm down a little bit. "

After her best friend took a sip of water Claire looked at her and quickly bombarded her with a lot of questions.

" Why are you with a group of werewolves? Did you do something that angers them? Are they threatening you? what happen? "

" Geez, Calm down a little, i'll explain it to you later so first lets talk about that declaration of mate just now. so what should you do about it? "

She asked but her friend become quite with her question and let out a sigh.

" What a f*****g s**t day is this for us. "

Her anger and frustration came back to her. Now not only her is bothered by this mate thing. she knows that she would encounter a lot of supernatural beings when she decided to be friends with Claire but she didn't expect to be mated with one and she doesn't know where to direct her frustration to.

In their own thoughts, the both of them let out a deep sigh at the same time then heard the door bell ring.

" I think they are here, so what is your decision? would you like for me to let them in? "

Her best friend took a deep breath and exhaled, it's like she's finally made up her mind and let out a helpless smile.

" I know that he would definitely reject me like the first time so before he could do that I will reject him first this time around. "

Her best friend declared even though there was a sadness and hurt in her eyes but her best friend was determined.

" I wish I could also do that but f**k, he doesn't even listen and d**n stubborn at that. "

She frustratedly said when she walked out from her best friend room to open the door.

Only sinking in what she said Claire look at her with a shock.

" Wait, what? ah, Una, wait up. What do you mean by what you just said? "

Her best friend runs after her and when she opened the door, she saw the man that caused her frustration. In her frustration, she was going to slam the door close but was stopped by that man standing in front of it.

" Isn't it rude to just slam the door in your mate's face? "

" Oh, how I wished to also hit you with it. "

she says sarcastically with a smile then glares at him.

" Cute. "

The man said and the only thing she could do was to let out a frustrated sigh.

" WHAT? MATE? Eh? "

Her best friend shouted in disbelief from what she was hearing for the first time while looking alternately between her and the man who just entered was looking amused.
