Chapter 6: Her Choice

Just like he said she could feel it but for her, it doesn't make sense. How did she become the mate of a werewolf when she was an enemy to them? that's what she can't understand.

She remembered what her uncle on her mothers side once said.

six years ago, when she was twenty one years old, she remembered what her uncle once said to her when she almost died from an accident.

' Una, it was given to you when you almost died but remember this, from now on those entities would try to get you or possess you and from now on you will have many enemies lurking around you, look for a chance when your unguarded but since you were given a gift use that as your weapon to protect yourself from them. '

At first she didn't know what her uncle was talking about until she experienced it and her uncle helped her.

' Don't worry Una, if you need help just call me until you can handle it on your own I will guide you. '

At that time, she found out about all the supernatural beings that still exist in the world and sometimes co-exist with humans. that's why when she accidentally meets Claire, she already knows that Claire was not human but then they got along and now become best friends.

She looks at the man with a confused look on her face. Like Claire said, their mate was decided for them by their goddess they called Luna and how it was important for the Alpha and their pack for having a Luna but how was she be able to accept what's happening to her when they are from the opposite side.

she let out a sigh.

" Listen.... I may not know your agony and what you've been through looking for your mate- "

" Your my mate. "

He corrected her with a serious look on his face which she just brush it off and continued what she was saying.

" I'm telling you, it was wrong that I've been chosen as your mate maybe there was an error made by your goddess but-"

she was startled when Zyx leaned down to her and kissed the crook of her neck.

" Hey, just listen to me and stop kissing me....Are you a kissing maniac? "

She said while blushing hard while her heart was beating hard.

" It was not a mistake so please stop saying those kinds of words, You don't know how hurt it is to hear those words from you. "

He solemnly said with sadness evident in his voice. He stared deeply in her eyes. She was perplexed about what to do. while still confused her phone rings once again so she lets out a sigh, giving up her reasoning.

" Let's talk about this another time, I still have work to finish first so could you please get off of me now? "

She was going to get up but stopped when Zyx didn't move so she stared at him.

" I won't run away. I really need to finish the task my boss assigned to me. "

She insisted when she saw the unconvinced look on his face. Thankfully, he listened to her this time and got off above her and stood up while still looking at her.

She sat up and looked at the caller which is her boss so she answered it.

" Boss, sorry something came up so I was delayed but I'm in the hotel now. "

' I see, I thought you decided to back out of my favor, anyway, hurry up, you want to get some rest faster right? so finish it quickly. '

" Yes, I understand. "

She hung up the call and looked at the man that had a longing look on his face. Still confused and undecided, she chose to go with the flow like she always does when she doesn't know what has to be done.

she extended her right hand towards him, asking for his phone but instead he put his hand on top of her palm so she imagined a dog commanded by the owner for its paw.

" HAHAHA. "

She laughed out loud and thought that he was quite cute despite his dangerous look.

" Haha, I was asking for your phone not your hand. "

Come to think of it, werewolves also belong to a family of dogs she thought and giggled then she was enveloped by a strong and warm embrace and felt the fast beating of his heart.

She smiled and finally decided to embrace him back. He then released them from their embrace and look with one another. Reading his face and predicting his next move she put both of her palms on his lips as a stop.

" Hold your horses, I said I still have unfinished business so just give me your phone now. "

She felt him smile under her palm and step back a little and hands her his phone.

" I'll accept this as a sign that you accepted me as your mate. "

he happily said with a smile,

" for now since I'm going to find out the reason why I became your mate. "

" Doesn't matter to me since no matter what, your my mate and that wont change. "

He said matter of fact and she didn't retort it. She handed back his phone to him.

" I've put my number there so I'll call you when I have time to talk to you. "

She then turned around but her left arm was grabbed.

" Sorry with that missy, I think you already know that our kind have a strong possession with their mate and because of that you're not going anywhere without me beside you. "

She contemplated an answer but just gave up.

" Do what you want. "

He let her hand go when he was content with her answer and smiled, he followed her heading towards the door. Once she opened it, a group of men in a formal suite startled her. They were standing close to the door and they all looked at her. One man stepped forward and smiled at her.

" Glad to finally meet you, Luna. "

" Una. Just call me Una. "

She corrected him. She's not comfortable with the title of luna.

" Of course, whatever our Luna desires."

The man said joyfully.

Is he even listening? she thought but brushed it off her mind and walked towards the elevator area. when she stopped at the front of an elevator after pressing the up button she noticed that Zyx and the group of men was following her and also notice the look they are getting from the sorrouding people.

She tap Zyx arm to get his attention and when Zyx looked at her with a smile, she signaled him to lean down for her then she whispered.

" Are they also coming? can you just stop them from following us? the others are looking. "

she said embarrassed from the attention she's getting from the others that are passing by and also the people waiting for the next elevator. just looking at those bulky men in a suite its like they belong to some sort of a gang or the likes.

Still conscious with the stares, Zyx lean down near her ear and whispered back to her.

" I already told them that their Luna wants some privacy with his mate. "

After saying that he blew at her ear teasingly that startled her and looked at him completely red.

" W-when did- 'Ding' "

She was cut off by the bell sound of the opening elevator door. Zyx steps inside the elevator smiling and look back at her who was still covering her ear, blushing.

" Aren't you going in? "

What should I do with this dangerous creature? she thought while still blushing.
