Laughter erupted in the room. "Three hours? You think Darryl will hand over the money willingly?" Erick sneered, his voice dripping with contempt, "If you go after Darryl, don't expect us to clean up after you if things go south!" Monte waved his hand dismissively. "Three hours? We can wait." Alani, smirking, added, "Let's see what will happen in three hours." Amidst the mockery, Valerie's frustration boiled over. "Fool, get out! Lizzie will not die with you!" Lizzie approached her mother with a steady resolve. "Mom, I trust Josh. I'm going with him." "Lizzie, you're out of your mind!" Valerie grabbed Lizzie's arm urgently. "If you still consider me your mother, divorce Josh now and agree to Sage's pursuit!" At that moment, Josh, towering and imposing, stepped forward. He looked like a god of death emerging from the wholesale slaughter. He then gave a glance that was enough to make Valerie falter and release Lizzie's arm. Josh's voice was cold and authoritative, "Mom, Lizzie is my only wife. I will not divorce her or let Sage take her away." Turning to Lizzie, he said, "Let's go, Lizzie." Josh took Lizzie's hand. Together, they walked out of the villa, leaving behind the mocking laughter and scorn. Watching the couple walk away, Valerie snapped back to reality and slapped her forehead. "Right, Sage! He loves Lizzie so much. He must have a way!" With that, Valerie hurriedly pulled out her phone... One hour later, they approached the entrance of Eternal Night Club, a territory of Darryl. Lizzie's anxiety was palpable. "I'll speak first, so just follow my lead." Josh nodded. "Don't worry, I won't act only if they provoke us." Upon entering the club, they saw a scar-faced man fondling the girl's bountiful bosom. He was the Darryl Spencer they was looking for. Darryl frowned because of the interruption and scowled, "Who the hell are you? F*cking id*ots! Get out!" Josh remained unfazed. "We're here to collect the debt owed by the Olson family." Darryl sneered, "Debt? Do you think you two f*cking id*ots can have the money back? I could have you killed right now!" Darryl's face darkened. The woman on his lap adjusted her panties and discreetly walked away. Darryl had a fierce appearance. Lizzie trembled in fear but still mustered the courage to say, "Mr. Spencer, please. We really need this money." "Heh! "Darryl sneered. A dozen or so burly men immediately came in and surrounded Lizzie and Josh. Darryl sneered, "Short on cash? Everyone here is poor. Now that the money's in my pocket, you think you're getting it back?" As this point, Josh's voice cut through the tension, "Just a lackey for Emmitt, and you dare act like you're in charge here?" Josh had Bat to investigate earlier. It had revealed that Darryl Spencer was a mere underling for Emmitt. Upon hearing Josh mention Emmitt, Darryl's pupils contracted, and he squinted, asking, "You know Mr. Howard?" Emmitt Howard, used to serve as a soldier under Grover. Josh scoffed, "No, just a minor figure like him isn't worthy of my attention!" Click! Suddenly, a dozen cold gun barrels were aimed directly at Josh's head. "Dare to insult Mr. Howard?" Darryl said, his voice dripping with malice as he pulled the trigger, "Get them! Turn this guy into a sieve and dump him in the sea to feed the sharks! The woman stays here as a w***e!" As the henchmen closed in, Josh's expression remained impassive, while Lizzie's legs nearly gave way. Suddenly, Darryl's phone began to ring furiously. He glanced at it, his face turning pale as he answered. He hurriedly shouted, "Stop! Keep a close watch on them!" His men were confused about what was happening and halted their actions. They then saw Darryl, with a fawning expression, holding the phone as he quickly walked to a corner of the room. Darryl's voice was obsequious as he spoke into the phone, "Mr. Howard, how can I assist you?" The voice on the other end, clearly agitated, said, "Darryl Spencer, a man and a woman will be arriving shortly to collect a debt. Immediately make all your men ready!" Darryl looked at Josh and Lizzie, who were still held at gunpoint, and replied, "Don't worry. There's no need for so many men. The man who just insulted you is already being held at gunpoint. I'll have him killed and fed to the fish shortly..." There was a pause on the other end, followed by a loud crash as if the phone had been dropped. Darryl, now visibly anxious, asked quietly, "Mr. Howard, is everything okay?" Emmitt's enraged voice erupted from the phone, "Darryl Spencer, are you out of your mind? I don't even have the right to meet him, and you dare point a gun at him?" He continued, "You must do whatever it takes to appease him! If you fail, you will pay for your stupidity!" With that, the call ended with a series of beeps. Darryl's legs went weak, and he collapsed to the floor. His men exchanged confused glances until one stepped forward, nervously offering, "Boss, should we take this woman to your bed...?" Darryl, still shaking, roared, "Id*ts! Put the guns down! " He swung his hand back and slapped that man to the ground. Everyone was stunned, not understanding what was happening. Then, Darryl crawled to Josh's feet, and slapped his own face again and again. After just two slaps, both sides of his face were already swollen and bruised. He slapped his own face hard, voice trembling, "Please, spare me! I was blind and foolish to let my men threaten you with guns. I beg for your mercy!" Lizzie watched in astonishment. 'How did his attitude change so dramatically after take the phone?' Only Josh knew that it was all because Grover called Emmitt. Josh pulled Lizzie's hand. He looked at the time and said indifferently, "You are not worthy of me killing you. Send the eight million dollars to the Olson family in 20 minutes in person." The room was stunned. 'The last person who spoke to Darryl like this ended up in pieces.' Yet, to everyone's shock, Darryl, now bleeding and battered, nodded eagerly. "No problem! I'll deliver the eight million dollars, plustwo million dollars in interest, to the Olson family." What they didn't know was that Josh was regarded as a god even by Emmitt. How could Darryl dare to provoke him? He could only find ways to please him. Heard that, Josh led Lizzie out. As they reached the door, Josh turned back and addressed Darryl with a final message, "Tell Emmitt. His life has been spared!"
