Chapter 15 The Ceremony

Kaylee's POV

Gamma Lauren came into the room where I was waiting. "It's time for the ceremony." I walked out into the hallway where my Dad was waiting for me. "Did you get to speak with Ace?" I asked.

"Yes, he has already made arrangements to leave tomorrow."

"Oh good, he believed you." I knew I shouldn't have doubted myself.

"Why would you think he wouldn't believe you?" he questioned.

"I don't know? It's just that we have only spent three days together."

"Sweetie, God made Ace, Alpha King for a reason. He knows what he's doing."

"You're right. Let's go." I said, squeezing his arm.

As we walked together through the ballroom, a lady handed me a beautiful cascade bridal bouquet. We continued to walk through the rose garden and came to a red velvet carpet.

"Kaylee!" I heard someone squeal. It was Breanna. Instantly I grabbed her into a crushing big bear hug. Then another girl came over and put her arms around us both. I looked over and saw Daisy. Ever since the trauma of being kidnapped, all of us girls had a sisterly bond.

"I thought I would never see you again. How did you escape?"

Breanna started to explain, "Right after they took you to the slave market, Alpha Ace and Alpha Samuel rescued us. They slaughtered the Rogues right in front of us."

Daisy's face started to blush slightly, "It turns out that Alpha Ace was looking for you and teamed up with Alpha Samuel. Alpha Samuel is my mate, and now we are married."

Laughing, I gave her a small curtsey, "Luna." I proclaimed.

We all giggled and enveloped each other in another bone-crushing hug.

I felt a slight tug at the bottom of my dress. Looking down, I saw my sweet Abby girl. "My, how big you've gotten," I exclaimed," Scooping her up in my arms. My Aunt Kelly was standing next to her. "I have so much to tell you," I cried.

"Don't cry. You'll ruin your makeup. We will talk later," Kelly promised. I gave her a quick hug as Canon in D started to play. The wedding coordinator encouraged a terrified Abby to walk down the red carpet. Timidly she started to walk down the aisle all by herself, clutching the little white basket. It was so cute to watch. Daisy began to walk down the aisle next. When Breanna started to walk down the aisle, I heard her gasp. Her back was facing me so that I couldn't see her face. Whatever it was didn't stop her. Breanna held her head up high and continued to walk to the front of the stage.

Suddenly I felt dizzy, and my heart was racing. Realizing it was my turn to walk. I'm so glad to have my Fathers strong arm holding me. He looked down at me and said, "Don't be scared sweetheart, Ace is a good man. You can give your heart to him." That was so nice having my Fathers approval of the marriage and his encouraging words. All of the audience stood to give honor to me. In one arm, I gripped the insanely heavy flower bouquet and took a step forward. Looking up, I saw Ace waiting for me. He had a gorgeous smile on his face. Who would have thought the Big Bad Alpha that never smiles would be smiling for me. To ease my nerves, I focused all of my attention on Ace's face. As we walked closer, I could see his one brown eye starting to flicker green. Nanook was close to the surface, wanting to be apart of this union.

When we reached the end of the carpet, I gave my Dad a quick hug, then climbed up the stairs next to Ace. We held hands and listened to the Minister.

"Before we begin, Kaylee Nicole Douglas, you have the right to reject Alpha King Ace Edward Hunter. Due to the strong mate bond with an Alpha, if you reject him, it will be death for you both."

"No, never," I whispered.

Facing each other, the Minster tied my left wrist to Ace's right wrist. As he secured the knot, I felt a surge of power flow through our bodies. Silence washed over our guests as the wind blew and the fire blazed. One of our pack Elders came forward and read the story of the Great Prophesy. It was coming true, every word of it. I knew that our reign as King and Queen would be legendary. After the reading, all of our guests stood to their feet with applause. Ace crashed his lips against mine. His lips are the softest lips ever (not that I had any experience with kissing anyone else).

Turning to face the crowd, we walked hand in hand down the aisle.

The DJ started to play our favorite songs. I was so relieved to be dancing, and it helped to control all of my nervous energy. Ace held me close as we swayed back and forth. When our first dance was over, Ace led me over to a table with several neighboring Alphas. Alpha Samuel was sitting at the table signing the peace treaty between our packs. Ace also sat down next to him and signed the contract. The two Alphas stood up and shook hands. Daisy and I embraced each other, ecstatic about our new alliance.

Now for the traditional pack run. The whole pack would shift into their wolf form, and we would run together to initiate me as their Luna. Not wanting to rip my wedding dress to shreds, I decided to hide behind the makeshift stage to take my dress off. Despite me trying with all my might, I couldn't get the dress to come off. With all the cross ties and pearl buttons, I was getting even more tangled. Peeking out around the stage, I try to find Ace. Pack members are already shifting into their wolf forms. Then I spot Nanook's large black wolf.

"Nanook!" I yell over all the loud voices. With his enhanced hearing, he came trotting over to my hiding spot. Nanook looks at me with his bright green eye, probably wondering why I haven't shifted yet. "Nanook, I need to speak with Ace for just a minute. Then you can have Pearl." He nods his head to me and then shifts back into human form. Ace stands up before me, completely naked. Quickly I turn my back to him with my face turning red.

"What's wrong, My Sweetness?" he asks, holding my arms and pulling me in close from behind.

"Can you help me take my dress off? I can't undo the buttons, and the bow is tied in a knot. The pack is going to leave for the run without me."

"Shhh," he soothes. He leans over and places a kiss on my bare shoulder and then leaves a trail of kisses up to my neck. "This is where I'm going to mark you tonight, as he places one more kiss." A low growl escaped his mouth. "I can smell your desire for me, but first we run." He slowly untied my dress revealing my sexy white lace panties and a white strapless bra. Once the dress was off, I quickly shifted and let Pearl have control.
