Thomas had slept on everything, however briefly, and still he couldn't quite understand why Alpha Blackwood would endorse such criminal behavior. These wolves were giving their fellow shifters a bad name.
Perhaps that was what he was worried about; if it all came out, it would no doubt garner a lot of media attention. Victor Domnall and his followers would use it as ammunition to continue the smear campaign they'd started against shifters months ago, when they'd tried to pin the Sevenoaks murders on the shifter refugees that lived in the area.
That was the only justification Thomas could come up with, anyway. For now, it had to suffice.
