Chapter TwoThomas Blackwood had started his day bright and early. He had a spring in his step and a boatload of energy and excitement fueling him. It was the end of March and spring had finally sprung, though that wasn't the reason he was pumped.
Today was a significant day, in a way. It felt a bit silly to acknowledge it out loud—the guys would no doubt make fun of him if he did—so he'd kept it to himself.
It was Alpha Squad's six month anniversary.
The squad had been through a few ups and downs together, but they'd always come out on top. He was proud to be a part of it.
Sure, he was technically working for a different master, but it hadn't interfered with his team duties at all. Alpha Blackwood had wanted reports on the squad's various missions, and he'd provided them.
