Loving him

CHAPTER 16

Nelson drove away from Anna feeling all sort of mixed emotions. He was feeling sad , guilty and angry at himself mostly for hurting his angel, Breaking her heart because of his jealousy. He knew Anna loved him but his jealousy and anger took his reasoning away and he finally ended things between them.

He knew eventually he had to end things with her but he didn't handle things in a right manner he thought to himself.

He was not doing well himself his heart was breaking and sore but he kept it together telling himself over and over again " maybe it better this way anyway angel...I know I'm selfish but you will be alright in time ..... it is better this way...."

He drove his car until he reach his mother house, He switched the engine off, took a deep breath. He got off the car and proceeded to the house. When he entered the house , he was greeted by Jeremy his son who gave him a hug , " hey son..... you good... " he spoke in their hug kissing his head. "I'm good dad........" Nelson raffled his sons hair before asking

" where is everyone else ?

" there are in the kitchen .. .. Nana is upset with you good luck....." Jeremy told his dad before he proceeded to the kitchen. " I know son" he knew because he knows his mother hated it when he doesn't pick up her calls and not being on time to her house.

Nelson followed his son to the kitchen where he was met with his wife, He greeted her with a kiss and a long hug. He then went to his upset looking mother, he smiled and opened his arms for a hug but his mother ignored him. " I'm sorry mom I know I'm late .... but I've missed you very much ... come on give your son a hug mama....." he was trying to coo her. " no.. i won't give you a hug I'm mad at you for making us worry and wait for you"

" I know mother I'm sorry... I'm really sorry" he kissed her on the cheek and the woman slowly smiled at her son.

Nelson mother playful slapped him on his shoulder before she finally hugged him . Everyone smiled in the room." Now I have cooked up a storm for breakfast and you must be hungry let set up the table and eat".

"okay mother"

Nelson's relationship with his mother was okay but After his father walked out on them when they were still young, his mother's state of mind was not good at all, it was like she forgot she was a mother. She neglected her duties as a mother because of the pain she was feeling. She was always crying in bed or on the phone all the time fighting with his father sometimes crying begging him to come back to them at which he never did. His mother ended up not being able to take care of them, him and his siblings even herself because she was always in bed crying for months so Nelson had to step up as the oldest child and take care of everyone including his mother.

Nelson use to sit next to his mother bed , he would wipe her tears, he would beg her to eat, to take a bath of which she would eventually do after a lot of begging from his son.

When his father walked out on them he felt like he lost both of his parents at which sometimes he resented both of them especially his father because it was like they forgot about the kids they brought to the world.

Over the years the relationship between him and his mother became good again and Nelson vow to always keep his mother happy, smiling all the time something his father failed to do as a husband.

When he finished his studies paid for by his father at age of twenty-two he decided to go work for another companies instead of working in his father company because he hated what he did to his family. He worked taking care of his siblings and his mother who was then back to her old self even though she was still hurt by their father she was being a mother again to her kids which made Nelson proud and happy to finally get his mother back.

Nelson and his family ate the breakfast together, talking , laughing , enjoying the time they were spending at his mother's place. when they were done eating, they helped each other with the cleaning of the table and the dishes. By the afternoon his mother and his wife decided to go do some shopping leaving the house. He was left with the kids who went to their rooms to play games.

Nelson decided to go in one of the rooms and lay down on the bed to relax. He took his cellphone after sometime of laying in bed and scroll through it. He decided to make a call to his wife. " hey .... honey ...... how's the shopping going " the wife laughed before she replied " splendidly... are you bored already " she enquire

" yeah " he chuckle.

" don't worry we will be done soon and come back to you to keep you company ..... my big baby" they both laughed over the phone.

" okay see you .......bye"

After the call he tried to close his eyes to relax a bit until his wife and mother returns

but he couldn't. Everytime he tried to close his eyes everything that happened earlier on in the morning when he was with Anna plays on his mind. He tried putting all of it in back of his mind but he was not succeeding. He audible sighed, he slowly sat up on the bed, he looked down on the ground and hold his face. He remained in that position for a while before he sighed again and took his phone dialing Anna's number making a call.

The phone rang a few times with no answer but he kept on calling until finally there was an answer. ".... hello....." a man answer the phone Nelson froze not knowing what to say he knew very well who had answered the phone. The person spoke again " Anna is sleeping right now can I take a massage " Nelson gripped the cellphone tightly in his ear he never said anything and just drop the call.

He cursed under his breath ,tossing the phone on the bed. He held his chest, brushing it to get his breathing back to normal. He then decided to get up and went out to the balcony to have a smoke.
