The witch who had helped Princess Lena was standing on her door. She was living with the humans temporarily to make herself safe from the evil ones in the ocean. Before she went inside her house, Gavin's grandfather asked her, "What happened to your Kingdom?"
She turned herself to him. "I don't know what you are talking about."
"Can we talk inside?" He raised his left brow and the witch smirked. They walked inside her house and there, she made him sit on the couch. She went to the nearby kitchen and made a honey tea and put some biscuits on ta plate. Her hands were trembling when she put the tray of snacks on the table.
"You're trembling." He held her hands before the tray landed on the table.
"Please stop doing that. You're making me feel embarrassed." She sat in front of him and couldn't look into his eyes. She knew that his eyes never gets old the way they met years ago. Her feelings were still there in her heart.
"Maybe, you can make them return to where they should be?" He was sipping his tea and looked at her.
"No, I can't. You know that I can't."
"Then, I should." He was making her feel uneasy to confess what happened in their Kingdom.
"No, you can't do that, even if you help them, they will be in danger." She covered her lips as soon as she was reminded about hiding the truth.
"I think I need to find the truth behind that. Say the truth to me so that I can help." He was willing to help them because he knew that there is danger here too if people knew their secrets.
"They are in danger there. Only I can help them when the Queen herself sought help from me. All I could do is to hide Princess Lena's identity." Her tears began to fall on her cheeks.
His eyes went big as he heard that Erina's identity was being a Princess. "Princess Lena? I think I should give her more protection."
"I know. That's why I am always hiding behind her back but I think your grandson likes her." She wiped her tears and looked at him. "Do you know what will happen if Your Majesty will find the truth about this?"
"Yes, and I am not afraid just because you said so." He was being real about the truth because the history repeats itself. This time would be great for them even there was a big problem in their Kingdom. The prophecy will not be wrong after all.
She was adamant about what he said. "Do you want to be killed?"
"I think I should be because that is my end. I will accept the fact that I am only a human and you are not."
Her heart was struck by his words and being uncomfortable, she said, "Maybe you are right but there is something that I can't undo."
"Just forget the past." He stood from his seat and she quickly avoided him.
"Let me hug you for a while." Her tears rolled down her cheeks as he was tapping her back to ensure her comfort. At least, this time she dared to hug him for a while. It meant something special for her. After a long time, she was comforted by him and she was happy.
He was trying to pull himself from her hug and this time, she hugged him tight. She buried her face on his shoulders and cried. "Do you know how much I missed you? I missed you a thousand times." She let him get loose of the hug and looked at him. "I still love you."
"It was a long time ago since you said that. This same actions made me feel I am getting old." He was holding her shoulder and smiled. "I told you what my heart wanted to say a long time ago." He left her and before he went to the door, she made a daring question.
"Is there any chance for me and for us?"
The question made him question himself. although it was a long time ago, there would still be a chance for them. "I can't answer that for now."
"Then, let me take the risk." She was crying while he was leaving. "I still love you for a long time. If only you remember us."
He was walking on the seashore and reminisced about what happened many years ago. He was looking at the blue sky and there he remembered her.
"Do you know how much I love you?" The witch was smiling at him. She was holding a bouquet of red roses and gave him a sweet kiss on his right cheek.
"Yes, I know." He gave her a sweet kiss on her forehead and she ran happily. She was waving at the ocean and smiled back at him.
"Do you see the ocean? It is like my love for you. It never ends."
"I love you." He kissed her soft pink lips and lifted her. She kissed him back too.
"That was good old days. I thought I would never remember her and our love." He cried out loud when he remembered the time she confessed her feelings after the accident.
"I still love you." She hugged him.
"Please, stop this. I am getting married and I remember you only as my friend. I can't leave her. I'm sorry. I love her." He got loose from her hug and added, "You can forget me now."
He tried his best to remember her but nothing happened. All he remembered was his late wife who made him happy until she died. He couldn't change his heart now because the lifetime with his late wife was his promise and he couldn't unlove her and forget about them.
"I'm sorry, my wife, I'm sorry." He was still crying about what he learned about the past. All he could do before was to forget the witch but now, he regretted on not believing her in the past. "It is my fault."
The witch sat on her seat and never regretted about her confession to him. "I still love you."
The truth was not yet revealed by time. Maybe, their time now made them meet and only their decisions made them not compatible with each other.
Grandfather was walking to go home and there he looked at his wedding photo with his late wife. His tears began to fall on his cheeks. "I still love you."
After cleaning the house, the witch went to her bed and there she hugged her pillow tight. "So, this is how humans live? I have emotions and feelings too. Why can't this world be fair with us?"
