Smoke was coming from my house and I knew that I had to act now. The pack was close but not close enough. I put Ari in my dad's tool shed and sent a message to the pack letting them know where she was. I kissed her check and left her sleeping. I ran back to the house as the wolves were coming out. There were so many on them, but I was not afraid.
