I opened my eyes and tried to figure out where I was. Was I dead? I looked around the room and saw Matthew sitting in a chair next to me. Alex was laying right next to me his legs and arms wrapped around me.
What had happened? Where was Macy?
“Where’s Macy?” I sat up panicked.
When he didn’t answer I asked him the question again.
"She has not woken up yet." Matthew said.
“Her injuries were bad.”
“Is she going to be okay?” I asked needing to know.
“It looks like it. She’s healing slowly but she’s healing.” He said reassuring me.
"How long have I been asleep?"
"Over a week. Your injuries were really bad. You almost did not make it. Alexander came back for you. He ran into the burning house to save you."
