Fear
Evelyn felt her heart ripped off as she bent down without looking. "I can't allow him to see me," she mumbled to herself as she hid behind the door. Her eyes scanned the whole scene while observing Mr Brown walk inside the hall side. Finally, Evelyn held her chest rapidly while she got herself back. But immediately she thought Mr Brown had left the scene. She heard footsteps coming closer to her and she froze at the spot. "Who is there ?" Immediately Evelyn heard the voice. She ran faster as her legs moved forward toward an office; the door was wide open as she ran inside with speed. She immediately closed the door, putting her back on the door as she gasped for air. The footsteps kept on coming closer, and Evelyn held her head down. Luckily for her, she scanned a cupboard beside an office chair as she rushed into it and hid herself. She heard some noises around the door handle; Evelyn held her mouth with her hands as she breathed heavily, refusing to shout out loudly. "Good day, Mr Dickson," she heard the man speaking to someone at the door side; Evelyn searched for a way out but couldn't as she felt some sweat dripping down her face to her waist. "Thank you for your time," the man said before entering the office. Evelyn wished the ground could open, her hands tightly at her legs as she squeezed her body more inside the cupboard. Mr Dickson walked inside the office, his eyes scanning every bit of air he could see. Something wasn't right anywhere; he didn't lock the door, and now it's locked. "Who are you?" He asked; Evelyn held her mouth as she got frightened. "I'm asking you now who the hell is here if you don't speak up or show yourself. I might as well call the security on you, and you will rot in jail," Mr Dickson said as he screamed; he moved closer to his seat while holding a stick. Evelyn shifted to the left side of the cupboard as she spied his legs, moving closer to her direction. With fear, Dickson hit the table harder, and Evelyn jerked up without knowing. Her hands were on her mouth as she tried not to scream but couldn't. Evelyn turned to see the boiling eyes of Dickson beside her, his hands on the stick ready to beat the hell out of her. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." She pleaded with her hands up, Dickson glanced at her for the last time before dropping the stick down. "Who are you?" Dickson asked, his eyes piercing directly into hers as he moved closer observing every part of her. "I'm Evelyn, a cleaner of here" Evelyn finally spoke, as her voice cracked. "A cleaner and what the hell are you in my office?" Dickson yelled at her, his eyes perched at her directly. "I'm sorry... I was running away from someone," she said, trying to escape her eyes from his. "Running from who?" Dickson said while he strode down to his seat while sitting down. "From someone, from Mr. Brown," she tried explaining; Dickson heard the name, his brown eyes raised as he stared at her suspiciously. "From Mr Brown? How do you owe him" Dickson asked while he folded his legs on the table. "It's a long story, Sir; please don't call the security on me," Evelyn pleaded as she kneeled while facing him. "Alright... please leave," Dickson said, as Evelyn thanked him before leaving. Dickson cleared his table while he packed out some files from his bag and put them on the table. "Who can this be?" He murmured to himself while he continued doing his work. Meanwhile, Evelyn walked faster as her heart skipped a beat; she held her chest as she lay on the wall beside Dickson's office while gasping for more air. For a few minutes, she regained herself while she rushed faster to her position. Evelyn grabbed her mop with her cleaning items while rushing to mop and sweep the empty office available. "Evelyn?" Clara walked inside with her hands full of bottled water; she stared at Evelyn with a smile. "Yes, love" she said as she turned behind to face Clara, while placing the mop on the wall side. "Where have you been? I have been looking for you everywhere" Evelyn stared at the worried face behind her, as she faced her. "I had a runny stomach, sorry about it. " Shee curved a fake smile while continuing to mop the floor; Clara glanced at her before tapping her shoulder. All through the stay with Clara, Evelyn wasn't deep in hearing the stories she had. All she cared about was the look on Dickson's face, as she didn't know who he might be and what he looked like. "What's on your mind?" Clara said as Evelyn jerked off from her thought while her hands roughly scratched the wall, making her scream in pain. "Sorry...sorry..." The only word that could be laid from Clara's lips as she rushed toward Evelyn while helping her to stand up and rushing her outside the office. Evelyn could feel the pressure her hands felt, the pains and scratches from it. She held Clara's hands tightly while they walked down to the worker's room. Immediately after they hopped inside the room, Clara placed Evelyn back on the blue pillow on the bed while rushing to get the little first aid in the cupboard. Evelyn watched her friend find it hard to get first aid. Finally, she found it and rushed to open it. "Please sit up," Clara said while pulling Evelyn to sit properly while she started wiping the wound with ointment. "Arch," Evelyn said as she screamed in pain. But still, yet Clara didn't stop, as she kept on applying it and making it a better view. "Don't do anything for today," Clara warned her, as she pointed her finger at Evelyn. "But..." Evelyn interrupted as she glanced at Clara. "Don't, but... I have told you already," Clara said, locking the first aid back and heading toward the cupboard while she placed it in his position. "What of the CEO of here?, wouldn't I be sacked?" Evelyn asked; immediately, Clara heard about it as she stood up and walked toward Evelyn. She sat down while patting Evelyn's back, then stopped and stared at her. Evelyn felt their breath conjoined together as Clara's eyes perched directly into hers. "You mean Mr Dickson? He is a very feared man, and he doesn't joke with his work line," she warned Evelyn, as she stared at her directly. "Really? Where is his office? Maybe I might be careful when I clean his office," Evelyn said with a smile, as they both laughed out hard. "Wait!!! I thought Sasha saw you coming from his office?" Clara said, scratching her hair as she thought. His office?
