Nora’s POV
Kade ignored Gareth, the butler. He gestured for the nurses and servants waiting outside to come in and help me change into the clothes he had prepared.
Thoughtfully, Kade didn't make me take off my loose hospital gown. He just had me change out of the bloodstained coat I had worn to the council hall.
"Your Highness? Prince Kade?"
Gareth frowned, annoyed that Kade was ignoring him. He raised his voice, getting closer and closer, trying to get Kade’s attention.
Gareth was getting closer, and he was about to grab one of the maid's arms to stop her from helping me.
This was what completely enraged Kade.
Kade grabbed Gareth's hand before it could touch anyone near me. He must have used a lot of force, because Gareth’s face contorted in pain.
