After a long night, finally I was able to fell asleep. I woke up with some noises at the back. The light was glaring so brightly. It was so late already, why Mei Ling didn’t wake me up for school? I opened my eyes to see an unfamiliar environment. I was not in my room. The entire small room was white in colour. Bed, cushion wall, chair, tables were all in white colour. I was lying on the cold hard bed. Where is this place? I thought to myself.

A man in white uniform came over to greet me. He has black eyes and curly brown hair “Hi Erica Spencer. Born in the year of 2000, Mother is Maggie Spencer and Father is John Smith. He was an ex-grim reaper. Currently dating Adam Smith, the leader of Grim Reaper.” As I listened in fear.

“Who are you? Where is this place?” I asked him while scanning around the room, I noticed there was a door to escape.

“Sorry to startle you. This is Almighty Court and I am Shawn Levine.” He introduced himself. I jumped out of the bed “What? Why am I here?” I exclaimed.

“Don’t worry dear. We will not hurt an innocent human. We just need to clear the problem with Adam.” Shawn replied softly.

 I was not tied up, so I instinctively ran towards the door to escape but I ended up running back to the same room with Shawn at the exact same location. I took another bounce to run towards the door again and I was back at the exact same room. What is happening to me?

“Erica. You can’t escape from here, the Almighty Court. I have the control over here.” Shawn said with a smirk on his face.

“Where is Adam? What are you going to do to me?” I was distraught.

“I will let you know in a short time.” Shawn replied. Another woman also wearing the same white uniform entered the room. She has green eyes and blonde hair nicely tied up in a ponytail with fringe.

“Hi Erica. I am Janice Levine.” She introduced herself. I watched her in horror.

“Please let me go. I will not tell anyone about this.” I pleaded with Janice.

“The Almighty court needs to act now to stop your relationship with Adam. A Grim Reaper couldn’t be with a human.” Janice said while shaking her head.

“What are you going to do with me?” I asked in a shaking voice.

“Don’t panic. We just want to erase your memory about Adam. It will be painless.” Janice informed me with a glare. 

“What about Adam?” I asked Janice.

“We will inform his family about court’s decision. Adam won’t be able to save you this time. Just sleep now. You will be back to your room when the procedure is over.” Janice replied as she came closer to me and stared into my eyes. She held my hand tight while I lost my mind and I lost consciousness. 

“Erica wake up! We are late for classes again.” I heard Mei Ling shouting from outside of my room with loud knocking on my door. “Ok! I will be ready in 5 minutes time” I replied. I felt dreadful to wake up. I felt a part of me was missing and I can’t recall what was missing. I was hugging my kneels crying out loud on my bed. What’s wrong with me? Why do I feel so depressed? My head hurt so much when I tried to recall.

ADAM’S POV

            The Almighty Court has informed us that they have erased Erica’s memory to prevent this relationship. They have also arranged all the gifts that I gave her to be returned to me. The gifts were sitting quietly in my room. However, Almighty Janice told me secretly that she saw a vision when she erased Erica’s memory about us. She saw Erica changed to Grim Reaper in the future, and we will produce an outstanding male heir that will flourish the Grim Reaper world.

 Erica greeted me with a smile in the campus this morning. She can’t remember anything about us anymore. She can’t recall that I am a Grim Reaper and she can’t recall we were an item. She only remembered me as an ordinary stranger in the campus. I can’t do anything to save my Erica. I passed by the washroom this morning; I heard she was crying out loudly after greeting me in the morning. Is she doing alright now? There are possibilities that the memories do come back if triggered by unforgettable and remarkable events. It pained my heart to think that I will not have the chance to see her anymore after my graduation next month. I think I will leave her alone so she could graduate peacefully.

Is it the end of our relationship?
