Molly By the time we get to the station, my head is a mess. I keep wondering if I even did the right thing coming here. After everything Josh did to me, after the lies, the manipulation, the drama, I should have just stayed home. I should have ignored the call. But here I am. “Molly.” Charles’ voice pulls me out of my thoughts. He’s standing a few steps away, talking calmly to one of the officers. I can tell he’s doing it for me because I’m in no mood to explain anything to anyone. “Yeah,” I replied softly, walking up to him. He looks at me for a moment, his eyes searching my face. “Let’s go see him,” he says gently, motioning toward the hallway. An officer leads the way. He’s a bulky man with a receding hairline and a tired expression, like he’s seen too much nonsense in his life
