CHAPTER 1: HAUNTED

It all started that frightful autumn night, my mother and father as usual were fighting. Today it was about how my father looks at other sexy woman with eyes full of lust while with my mother. I was in my room watching videos on t****k when my older brother bursts into my room unannounced. "Eva are you okay?" he asked me. My brother Earl who was very caring and protective over me, he did not want anything bad to happen to me he was my shining armour during battle. He was only 3 years older than me yet we were so close like twins and no boy ever dared to get close to me. "Earl, next time you knock what if I'm changing or I'm.. " I didnt get to finish my statement "or what? huh dont even think about texting other boys or taking nude pictures or I will kill that boy. Plus if I had knocked you wouldn't have heard me anyway...let's get out of here." With that I rose from my bed put on my jacket and shoes topped it up with a cute hat and left to go to the arcade with my brother.

Well pardon my manners, I am Eva Jones and I'm 19years old. I like movies and gaming a lot i can spend the whole day playing COD with my brother and his friends beating the hell out of them. I've always been with my brother, I do not have any girl friends but dont get me wrong I am not a tomboy I am very girly however with boyish traits here and there. My father is Mario Jones owner and cofounder of the Be Yourself fashion brand one of the most prominent brands in the city. So yes, you are correct we are rich to the extent that everyone wants to be our friends. The only downside is that my father and mother are always fighting I do not remember anyday we are a normal family. It's either dad gets home late being with another lady or mom is the one who is late with her girls at the club, my brother and I raised ourselves with the help of our nanny Mrs Miller. She was the Best. I know you are questioning "was" yes she passed away a year ago, was involved in a fetal accident which left me and my brother gloomy for months but we okay now.

We arrive at the arcade and I was getting my game on heading for that Pokeman stand when I see a boy I've never seen at the arcade before. I am mesmerised with how handsome he looks in his black jeans, a white tee and a black leather jacket not forgetting those A1s he looked like my type. He was definitely my type. " You know, I heard he is into guys" my brother decides to piss me off at that time...really dude. I look at him with that 'how do you know him' look. " He is the new student teacher replacing Dr Hills, I'm sure you are going to be having classes with him. Aghhh he just had to be my teacher huh I curse the universe. I decide to just go and play my games and forget about that steamy hot teacher flexing on the rails. My brother tells me that he is going to be looking for cute girls as usual haha and that we will meet at midnight and get ready to go back to that boring house.

As I walk towards the game, I feel eyes on me. Well i am used to it since I have that typical latino body with extra curves and each time my brother leaves me all the boys get a chance to look at me some even try their luck. But a girl like me doesnt just go for anything yet that Mr Teacher was already taking my breath away. All this while I was thinking I zoned out that I did not see him standing right next to me saying something.

"I'm sorry...What did you say?"

"ouu haha I was beginning to wonder if you were real or just a very beautiful statue" he laughs and that was the best and sexy laugh I've ever heard in my life. I zoned out again

" would you like a challenge?" he offered

"why not, I would love to wipe that grin from your face Mr.." I decide to act like I do not know who he is so he can tell me himself.

"I am Daniel gorgeous." he greets me as he forwards his hand infront of me. I place my right hand in his and he places a gentle warm kiss on my knuckles and i know my cheeks definitely turned red from this gesture.

"Call me Eva" I tell him as I remove my hand from his "now Daniel let's get playing" I was so ready to beat him to this game and crush his male ego.

We play for hours until he gives up allowing me to beat him for the 8th time haha I want not backing down from a challenge hell no! And I have to admit, I like it when the boys try to beat my high scores and just end up sad and defeated it made me happy. I look at him and notice that he is staring at me, not looking defeated but rather impressed which got me confused.

"I like a girl who is competitive, it is a major turn on. I'm sorry if I'm being corny but that's the truth."

"Ohhh you like then feisty huh" I laugh at him

"Feisty, competitive, sexy and beautiful just like the lady I am looking at right now." he starts walking torwads me..closing the space between us and I couldnt help but look at how sexy he looked while doing that. He gets really close to me I could feel his heartbeat

"Can I take you on a date beautiful" he was so close I could not even concentrate on his question. "Beautiful Eva what is your response?"

"hmmm?" I came back, I was totally confused, I did not know what he was talking about

"I said, I want to go on a date with you" He says this while holding my waist and I could not think straight "tomorrow if you want to"

My mind suddenly blurted out "Let's go now"

He laughs, he clearly knows the effect he is having on me and he is definitely loving it.

"okay then, let us go."

"Let us first find my brother so I can tell him that I will be going on a date with you, hopefully he will not hate you like the others."

"sure" he smiles at me as he takes my hand and we begin walking to the arcade restaurant where my brother was.

All eyes where on us as we walked it was the first time anyone has seen me with any other guy who isnt my brother or his stupid friends. Any other guy seen talking to me will be having a death wish. But Daniel wasnt looking a bit scarred, he was awfully calm maybe because he was new and he just did not know about my brother's over protectiveness. Look at me already getting comfortable with calling my soon to be teacher by his 1st name. I see my brother Earl in a booth with multiple girls surrounding him which is not a 1st. He looks my direction and he frowns as he notices I'm with Daniel. I give him pleading looks hoping he will play nice and agree to just one day.

"And what is this? Eva stop playing games I do not want trouble with your te....." I start coughing loudly so that he can keep that information to himself at least for now.

"your terribly handsome friend" he recovers and I am very thankful even though I know I am going to pay dearly for this. I will probably be doing his laundry for a month.

I decided to be firm and confident infront of him as he always taught me, "I will be leaving the Daniel to get some food I will meet you back here by 10pm" Earl looks at me like I have grown horns but surprisingly he smiles and I am shocked. " Okay you better not be late or else I will be getting in trouble after killing your lover boy" he laughs. I smile and thank him as I take my jacket from him.

Daniel leads me to his car and i have to admit that is not a car owned by a regular school teacher. "wow, you have a Ferrari that is really impressive I bet every girls runs to your feet" I tell him.

"well I have my stuff" he laughs " but do not worry I am humble about it beautiful let's go to get some junk food"

" Yesss you definitely speak my language" I squeal happily

I get more and more happy when I see that he takes me to a taco food truck...I love tacos it's like he was reading my mind and knows exactly what I want. He orders for both of us and we sit under the stars eating in an awful silence until I decide it's too much silence.

"so Daniel what is it you do? I bet you have a very paying job."

He laughs before answering my question. " well I am head of my fathers company called Latch, it's in Australia"

"Ohh that is impressive but why dont you have that Australian hunky accent?" I laugh

"well" he begins "I grew up here in Seattle up until my mother passed away then I returned home. Now I am back here I will be teaching temporary at Hallington school I have to be honest I did not want to accept but the principal is my friend so I had to do him a favour. "

well that explained a lot at least he is not a permanent teacher.

" that is really cool, and how old are you?" I asked again. He looks at me and laughs "Do not worry i will not take advantage of you i am not old" he continues laughing "I am 24 years old and I'm guessing you are 18 is it?"

"No I am 19 I will be 20 in two months" I replied him.

*another awful silence*

we finish eating and having small talk. I made sure I do not tell him that I am going to be his student I just wanted to enjoy his company for a while. I notice the time already reaching 10pm and I better go back to my brother or else this would be my very last date.

"Listen Eva, when I saw you today I fell in love well it's a bit fast but I mean I really like you, you are calm and genuine. I would like to do this again this time I will take you to a proper fancy restaurant" he looks a bit worried then continues "I hope it will not overwhelm you"

I mentally laugh alone in my head, this guy thinks I've never been to fancy areas haha he thinks I'm broke that's a shame haha I will just play along.

"I would love that Daniel" I smile at him and before I know it he grabs my waist and hugs me then leads me to his car so we can go back.

The ride back was quiet but comfortable, I actually enjoyed the small talk and his company. He kept stealing glances at me while driving and I could see him smiling from the corner of my eye. "If you keep smiling like that I will think you are a seriel killer" I told him laughing a little.

"maybe he is, or you are" I hear a faint voice laughing in my head and I suddenly shriek in shock.

"are you okay Eva?" Daniel asks me

"yes I am"

"I'm sorry if i made you uncomfortable"

" no you didn't, it's just my mind playing tricks with me I thought I heard something"

"Alright we are here now" he stops the car and smiles at me leaving so he can open the door for me.

"it will hurt so much to kill him" I hear the faint feminine voice in my head again. I must be getting insane how can I be hearing voices in my head. "he is going to be a problem for us Eva he has to go" I hear the voice more vivid now I swear I'm going crazy more so this time it was a male's voice. I decided to ignore it and hold on to Daniel's hand as I step out of the car. He smiles at me and holds both my hands, I see my brother watching from a distance he was going to enjoy messing around I know it. Just then Daniel leans in more closer, his hand goes to my neck forcing my head backwards naturally my lips are already asking for a kiss and just like he read my thoughts his lips touch mine as he gives me a light gentle kiss.

He then bids me farewell and I started walking to my brother. I could feel Daniel's eyes on me as my body swayed away and I could see my brother highly annoyed but hanging in just for me. Just then my legs turn numb and I start feeling so cold I'm shivering, my head starts to hurt so bad I hold it as I feel it getting heavier and heavier. I tried to scream but I could not murmur anything i could feel hands on me and distant calls but how my brother seemed to be miles away now and I could not see Daniel. I could feel my eyes shutting down, my body getting ice cold I was internally screaming was this what dying felt like. Was I dying? Why should I die now? What is going on?

"aggghhh f**k it I am taking over stop being stubborn this Daniel fello need to leave us alone he will replace us just like that Mr Vilds did. Yes Eva...I am back, this time I am here to stay even if it means killing your family"

Oh NO... the last thing I hear was my brother yelling "THIS CANT BE HAPPENING AGAIN" then I pass out.
